Treasure Hunt, Treasure Found

Last Wednesday I was going in to town. There were some specific things on my list to get. I was going to the thrift shop and to Wal Mart. I decided to invite my sister as she mostly otherwise pays for a cab.
She asked me what I was looking for, and I told her a cooking scale, canning jars, and a purse for sure.
In response she reminded me that her neighbor was moving and had been getting rid of a lot of stuff, including that she had given my sister some purses. You cannot tell the neighbor "no" or she gets her feelings hurt, she is 76 and from another country, so my sister is sharing the purses.
Yolanda, my sister, said that there was one that is perfect for me. My picture is not the best but you can see, this is my kind of purse. It has flowers and peacock plumes on it.
I love the teal trim. The details are very nice, well finished. It is American and Canadian made. Much nicer than anything I would have bought. I love my new purse!!
All day that day, the things I wanted were right there, available and affordable. I had a good treasure day. I know that others of you like to find treasures, too.

I did think of that. Not only because of the purse but also I got the very things I was looking for at the thrift shop and even something I had quit looking for. I felt blessed.

How lucky are you that your sister had a purse for you. It certainly looks unique and not something you'll see often.

I like that it is leather and it is highly detailed with leather trim around all the openings inside and out.

Looks like a pretty purse. I have seen ones like it on the shopping networks for about $140.

Old books are super as well. Classic well made bindings and words to take us back or carry us forward when we need them.

@GardenGerty I am hopeful to pick up a few more in the next few weeks as we are buying an investment property and noticed there are some old books left in it. I hope the current owner leaves them behind.

I do indeed, love the purse. I have found with elders like that the easiest thing is to accept whatever, and then rehome or donate it quietly later.

I am often entertained by visiting this apartment complex. My sister is nine years older than I am, very close to ten years older. She is one of the younger ones. They introduce themselves to me each time they see me, or they ask if I am Yolanda's daughter. Men and women alike. With my dad, he will give you something and then he may want it back.

@Jessicalynnt It is things like tools and a large two wheeled moving dolly. I really want that dolly when he really gets rid of it because of the childhood memories that go with it. he and his dad had a moving company at one time. My sister used to give me rides on it, and in turn I gave our younger siblings the occasional ride as well.

that purse is really awesome i like that and im
'fussy about purses. my best friend thinks Im nuts as I use an over the shoulder purse while she carries a very small one about your size in the picture that is really cute I like it t oo lol

Actually this one is bigger than the one I have been carrying and if I could find a matching teal strap I would carry it on my shoulder. One reason I like so many of your graphics is the color and design and that is what I like about this purse as well.
