A new opportunity

A surprise call yesterday and today my twin boys go through orientation at a new job this morning. It's very good news. I'm hoping they do well there.
We've had ongoing issues with the boys not getting sufficient and stable hours where we currently work. This new job is part time three days per week but the hours are the same days and same times every week. They may try to keep a shift where they are now especially Brandon. We'll see how it all works out. This is a step up for both of them.
Photo is of Brandon being a mascot. One of his all time favourite shifts at work.

They are not currently in school. They aren't that sure which direction they want to go. Jobs are scarce here and receiving schooling and training are great but not if there isn't a job at the end of the path. Also transportation is an issue. Better work is a path to a better future.

The young ladies find him cute in or out of costume. Momma bear struggles with this but daddy thinks they're doing just fine.

He did the mascot job with great enthusiasm. They didn't dare put me in the suit. Bare midriff hamburglar just isn't cool.

They feared me taking out the overhead monitors. According to my son it was a challenge to see where you were going in that.

Adequate employment is a constant worry here. So far the situation for my boys looks good with the new job.

@Genipher Must be. I don't even think it's stored at our restaurant.

No pretending to steal burgers but he had a blast posing with every child that came into the place for pictures. He also had fun telling the customers about the special offers available. They only break the costume out once per year.

A very positive development indeed. I have faith in them. They are well liked where we work right now.

Really good. It's a step forward they've been waiting for all summer.

I hope for the best. It is tough for the struggling and especially in rural areas.

I think they'll do well. Been a very frustrating year as far as getting sufficient work goes.

I am too. They both worked with me at McDonald's as their first job. They worked in different parts of the restaurant to avoid confusion. They are twins and for some people they are difficult to tell apart. We do like to work together when practical and possible.
