Have your ever played with a Ouija Board?

I had one; I think it was when my daughter was small, and we used it some. It was fun, getting those "messages" when the planchette or disc seemed to move around the board under our hands. Like everyone who tries this, we were sure we were no moving it. Ouija boards were once called a "tool of the devil" and may still be thought of that way in some areas. There is an interesting Smithsonian site about it. It was invented after the Civil War, in an age friendly to Spiritualism and attempts to contact the dead. It is eleven days until Halloween. If there is a board in your attic, will you get it out? Do you have any strange tales about Ouija Boards?

No strange experiences with Ouija boards. I'm too scared to mess with those things. I'm heard about some crazy stories about people messing with it so I stay away from it myself.

No, I never used one and I am not tempted to try. I have the ability to berceive events (or presences) beyond normal sensory contact. I do not want to play with something like that.

do you use your abilities in another way? or perhaps you choose not to discuss it in any detail, do understand keeping some thing private

Yes, you have mentioned that before, @LadyDuck. I can't say I blame you.

My kids were actually asking about Ouija Boards the other day. We don't have one - but I remember my sister did when we were growing up (I honestly don't know if she ever got any results . . . I'll have to ask!).

I played with it and I would never do it again. My friend and I played. The demon said he was in the kitchen. When we went in there the cabinets were opening and closing by themselves. Then I played one more time like an idiot with my husband. He didn't believe the board was evil and told the demon he wasn't scared. The box above his head fell & hit him and then he began to get choked. I do believe they are evil from my own experience-not just a game. My kids will never have one in my home.

We use to play an Ouija Board when we were kids. We use to talk to people who passed and thought we got messages back as the disc moved around the board. Our neighbors mom would not allow us to use it is her housecond because she believed it was the tool of the devil. When she found out we were using it she sprinkled us all with holy water to rid us of any evil. lol

I had one when I was young. Some people do seem to be able to get in touch with spirits. I am glad I never found any!

We had one but got rid of it. My daughter was into Satanic things when she was a teen and she got too involved. We had to get rid of it. We had answers we didn't want. Some came true and freaked us out. Yeah, we got rid of it.

@JamesHxstatic .....Oh, yes. Ouija boards have a very bad reputation and spiritualists tell you that you should not have them in your home. They can cause a lot of bad problems.

I played with one when I was in high school. However, it kind of made me nervous, so I've never played with one since then. I guess I can be a bit superstitious!

I played with a Ouija board once. No issues with it, sorry no strange tales either. I'll admit- I have a hard time being afraid of something marketed by Parker Brothers.

Once I did years ago. Never again. I'm not sure of my beliefs in the afterlife and such but some things shouldn't be messed with in my opinion. My experience was so unpleasant I don't plan on repeating it.

I would never play with a Ouoija Board, I have heard some weird stories about it and I am convinced that it opens a door for evil spirits. Some of the following experiences seem to endorse this. Since the idea is to encounter a spirit and such encounters are forbidden, then one is putting oneself in the path of danger with something that we cannot handle.
