Moving Day

I've been absent here for the past 4-5 days, as I was busy moving to my new home. So, unfortunately, that meant packing and cleaning and getting everything organized and ready for the move. All of which then required unpacking and cleaning and putting everything away in the new home.
For the most part, I am settled in the new place, and by the fact that I'm online, also means that I got my wi-fi set up and working okay.
I missed everybody here, and I'm glad to be back (and my muscles are thankful for the break in the heavy lifting). I hope to now be somewhat active on a regular basis again, although I still have a lot of unpacking to do. But myLot provides me a much-needed break from all the work!

@LadyDuck Thank you! Rest and relaxation is very important in our overall health and well-being. Plus, it was nice to be able to take a break and have a little fun.

Finally finished everything yesterday, so today the kids and I got to have a little fun, as well as relax a little. Unfortunately, tomorrow it will be back to the grind at work!

Haha, just kidding! Between working two jobs and trying to move from one house to another, it basically took up all my time. That's why it took me so long to move!

With the help of my two kids, we got everything unpacked and put away yesterday! Now I can relax and enjoy the new place!

I've already been finding that out this weekend! I've probably made half a dozen trips to the local home improvement store to buy things I needed to add, replace or repair in the new house. And I'm sure I'll keep finding more things as the next few weeks go by.

I apologize, I was meaning to let everyone know that I would be missing for a week or two, but time just blew by too fast for me and next thing I knew it was moving day! I'm all settled in to the new house now, so I should be back active on myLot!

@ElusiveButterfly I hate moving, so I hope I don't move again soon. I was in my last place for ten years. Unfortunately, as my kids have gotten older, I realized our space was too small!

@infatuatedbby Is there still a problem on myLot with loading photos? I keep getting weird error messages when I try to post photos. I know it's not an issue of size, because I've always been able to post photos from my phone to myLot, but for some reason I can't load any of them today.

I love my new place! And so far it seems I have great neighbors! And it's nice and quiet here, which I like. I also love that my screened in patio in the backyard overlooks a nature preserve, so when I sit out back and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning, I have a great view of nature.

Aww, thank you Jennifer for saying that I've been missed! I've missed all of you too! I was so excited to finally get back on myLot and start talking to all of you again!
My move went very smoothly, it just took a long time because I was doing a little bit each day after work. That way, I wasn't killing myself trying to rush to get all the moving done in one weekend.

@moffittjc I don't know anyone who would enjoy moving... I mean, people might look forward to move out from a place and to be somewhere else, but the process of moving itself is always unenjoyable...

I'm all settled in now, so I can get back to myLotting, something I always enjoy doing! I can't say the same for moving. Not very high up on my list of favorite things to do.

@Beatburn Yes, I'm all settled in now, and this morning I cooked a big delicious breakfast for me and the kids. It was a nice, cool day, so we sat out on the back patio and ate our breakfast while we enjoyed a beautiful view of the forest behind our house.

The very first thing I did in my new home was set up my bed! Got to have a comfy place to sleep! haha
And my kitchen was the very last thing I unpacked and set up. I pretty much ate out in restaurants for every meal for the last week and a half!

I only moved a mile down the street from my old house, so I am still the same distance from you!
I still have my old job, but I also started a new job on a part-time basis. That way, I'll have something lined up if I ever get pissed off at my main job and submit my resignation! lol

We are moving the end of March.
It will be a big move, to another area about 150 kilometres away from where we currently reside.
I hope that our move goes just as well. 
There are no movers in our area that do distance moves like that, so we'll rent a pod and have it dropped off here a couple of weeks before we move and then delivered to the new place and we'll be able to take our time unloading it there.
