You get blocked and then you want a shoulder to cry on.

I just read a post, shocked about being blocked. It is routine here. Just ignore and move on rather than creating a post about it. Or just contact another member who is not blocked by that person to check if it was a mistake. That's it. One does not have to be bad for anyone to be blocked. There is a user here who has dispassionately blocked loads and yours truly is in there. That user has reasons. Perhaps cannot bear to see hi fi participation, perhaps has no energy to interact perhaps.............Prior to blocking we were the best of friends Just move on. What say?

What you say is true. However, we all have a right to do as we wish here, provided we aren't breaking guidelines. A post about being blocked can be considered "complaining" and thus against the guidelines. With that being said, people still post about it. That person wasn't the first, and won't be the last. I just ignored the post that you are referring to. That person has complained before.

@allknowing Some people here think they are superior to all others. Oh well, let them keep thinking that. Who am I to pop the bubble they live in?

It seems reasonable to me to mention the fact, especially since it provides the author with a discussion to post. I once tried responding to a discussion only to discover that I had been blocked, which amazed me since I had never interacted with that person before.

@Lupita234 Exactly because the poster of the discussion would earn from my response.

That is how it should be and not write a post where practically all users would say the same ting - some disussion I say

I look at posting about blocking the same way I look at posting about having a bowel movement. We all do it. So why tell everyone?

Here depends on how popular one is. So even a bowel movement fiasco will get enough responses

If someone blocks you just try and find out who that could be.Sometimes it is a slip. We have someone here who helps members with that @JolietJake You do not have to write a post on that.

Agree with what you wrote. There are far too many other myLot users to interact with. Getting blocked for no reason shouldn't be a big deal although, I'd like to know the reason why I was blocked in the first place as it might have been done by mistake.

You can just ask another member who is not blocked to check if it was a mistake. What discussion can one have with such posts. Most would respond the same.

@bagarad It is clear now. Sometimes people's responses do not please you and so it is best those are kept out.I too have done that to one who would always get on my nerves with their responses (lol)

@allknowing I meant that getting responses on a discussion is a good thing and earns money for one. Why would you want to keep someone out of your discussions? It seems it only would hurt the person who starts the discussion.

The best way is to ask another member to contact the person who blocked you to see if it was a mistake or not.

@ShifaLk i am tough, my friend. i was blocked because i posted comments contradicting what the author wanted me to comment on; he wanted my comment to be positive, but how if i have a different opinion than him? then, when i saw in my notifications about his comment then it was nowhere, i already knew he blocked me.

It wouldn't bother me if I was blocked. I would just move forward. If it was a mistake then they would eventually realize that but I am not going to make a post about it to try and get the person to unblock me. That happened to me before and I was so embarrassed about it. When you decide to block a person it is usually for a reason. I have only ever blocked one person but they are unblocked now.

I think it's done by mistake more often than not other than the one person that barely knows the people he went around blocking on his blocking spree. I'm sure if you found you were blocked by a person that you hang out with a lot here it would bother you. Just recently I thought someone blocked me but before I got around to asking a different friend to let her know, I realized I was the culprit after all. I somehow, without noticing it, blocked her. I fixed it quick as can be once I figured it out.

I don't think I will come to know it if any one blocks me here. After blocking we can't like the person's discussion or comment it. However, I felt sometimes I can't like and respond some people's topics at times but trying after some time it is possible. So it may be glitch in mylot. As far as I have no idea if any blocks me, it won't make any difference.

I feel it is not a topic for discussion. Life goes on here not just by blocking but there are other issues we have when we interact with each other. We cannot go on creating posts each time we encounter a problem with a user here.

Hmmm...everyone may have his or her own reason to block someone. Btw is it so if a person don't have energy to interact someone then is it right for him to block that fellow.
