Star Trek Discovery is a television show that will be airing in a lot of countries in late summer or fall. They have just announced the new captain will be Jason Isaacs and he will play Captain Lorca.
This will air in the United States CBS All Access and International in 188 countries CBS Studios International on Netflix. In Canada Bell Media's Space Channel and CraveTV. Anyone planning to watch?

Wow! Looking forward to see what they do. I have watched every episode and every spin-off many times. The original was my favourite by far!

@Fishmomma The worst was Deep Space Nine, which is not a science fiction series but a soap opera.

I might get round to watching it eventually. I'm still trying to catch up on the other Star Trek series. I began at the beginning, with TOS, so we're watching them all in order. As I forgot where we got to, it may take a while to catch up to Discovery!

@Fishmomma The original was before I was born, although we watched repeats when I was younger as my Dad watched a lot of sci-fi. He still does. It was only in the past few years that I realised how much of a geek my Dad is, and how much I actually like the shows he watches!

For those unfamiliar with the name Jason Isaacs, he played Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies.
