Did Anyone See Doodles?

That Doodles gave us a scare! Not once, but twice this week.
The first time was earlier this week. We have French doors to the living room which we keep closed to keep him out of that room and the dining room. There is a heavy swinging door from the dining room to the kitchen, which is kept closed, also.
I quickly went into the living room to choose a vase for flowers. Later, we couldn't find that cat anywhere, and searched under beds upstairs and inside closets. I finally heard him crying locked in the living room.
Yesterday, we had a dinner here for our son and his fiancée. Again, we couldn't find Doodles!!!
If you look very carefully, you will see him sunk into a pillow behind a pillow on our very comfy settee.

My cats have learned how to open the front door, and they've been getting outside a lot lately. I swear every night I have to go on a hunt for them. The storm door is broken and there's enough space that they can squeeze through it, so once they get the front door open there's nothing stopping them.

@DianneN The bugs aren't too bad just yet.. haven't had many in the house aside from stink bugs, but they find other ways in because we've had them all winter.

Looks like Doodles has found a cozy nook to snuggle up in for a cat nap. Our older cat lays on the heater vent to keep warm. Couldn't find her one day. I brought out the vacuum to start cleaning and when I turned it on she ran like a flash. She was sitting on the vent that is covered by our drying rack. LOL.

It seems that Doodles has found a very comfy spot!! We have accidentally closed the dogs in our bedroom on occasion since they go under the bed and we don't see them.

@DianneN we have 2 cats. One of them is the very aloof sort, he's not affectionate at all (thankfully the other is very affectionate). Anyway, the NON-affectionate one is always finding the funniest places to sleep. one day he was up in my cabinet BEHIND my spices. i'm not even sure how he got there without knocking them off.... ha ha
