Rough start to work this morning

One of the girls who works in the office showed up this morning and quit. She was pretty upset. I think her and her husband split up. I know they have been having problems. She wasn't really in the mood to talk but she was crying so hard so I am worried about her. We are all pretty close at work so something like this affects everybody. I wish she had just taken a leave instead of quitting.
So it will be another stressful day here at work and everybody is worried and feeling sad about what happened.
On a positive note the sun is shining and it looks like it is going to be a beautiful day. I hope I can get out for a walk during my lunch break.
So how is everybody else's day going?

That is so sad. Hopefully someone can reach out to her. I hope the feeling of the sun will help you out!
I woke up super early and now I am getting to work on everything that I didn't get to this weekend.

I was thinking the same thing. I think she should have taken time off to get things figured out. The boss would have allowed her to take her vacation time if she had talked to him.

Well I got my missing check and my PL payment so that was cool. Also, the tech came to work on my sattelite dish, but it hasn't made a big improvement in the internet. He said the signal is stronger but I am not noticing much of a difference at all. I think maybe your boss should invite her to come back. Having no job and no husband doesn't sound like a good mix.

I wish a few of the people I worked with would quit.. I wish it every single day! I pull in and see their cars still there and literally ask out loud "Why are you still here??" and my day starts out cruddy.. every single day!

@Happy2BeMe Nope! I frequently think about finding another job.. all the while praying they're thinking the same thing and beat me to it.. because aside from them I really like my job.

My day is boring raining here. Sorry to hear about office worker girl quitting I agree with you she should have took a leave of absence instead of quitting that way she could have came back when she was ready.

@Tina30219 that is what I am thinking. All she said to the girl who was there when she came in was she didn't know where she was going or what she was doing. She was sobbing. She was alone her daughter was with still her husband.

I am sorry to hear that this girl quit and that it is affecting you guys. It can't be easy, when this happens, especially when you guys are all pretty close. I am glad that you have some sun though. It's pretty cloudy here. It isn't raining yet, but I think it will.

It is a small company so most of us have been here for a while and we spend a lot of time together. I hope she will be okay. Hope you don't get too much rain!

My day started good. Even though I am still a bit tired from a long trip, I feel happy whenever I think of the memories outside my country. It was hot this morning and I hope it will feel a little cold soon.

It might have been a rash decision - keeping her job may have been the better thing to do while she sorts things out. It's a sad situation, hope things work out for her. Glad you're getting that sun!!@much2say (53944)

Im doing much better today then yesterday. Yesterday i was worried i had not heard from my boyfriend and then i messaged his room mate and heard he was just sleeping. But he texted me this morning, thank god i was worried about him yesterday. Well i hope he learned his lesson from staying out on the boat that long.
I hope tonight he can help me move furniture and get things over to the new house and set up.
