Dare I go to a party "commando"? Would you? (mild vulgarity alert)

It's 95 degrees F here and I'm sweating like heck. I'm heading out to a music party where it will also be 95 degrees F. I threw on some shorts (no tighty whities) and a random t-shirt and flip flops to go to Trader Joe's. I was not arrested. If if put tighty whities on before the party, things will stick, and I'll have to adjust. If I go commando, I will feel relaxed and comfortable. It will be mostly musician friends I know well. I am bringing my guitar, some cranberry juice and sparkling water. And ice. Would you go to a party commando if the weather seemed to call for it?

I'd even go commando if I owned a kilt. So yes, I would.

There was a fella in a kilt at this afternoon's party. I didn't check to see what he was wearing below.

Well I thought you were doing a shoot for the Cottonelle commercial, that wants you to go commando.. I hope your shorts are long enough to cover all you need to cover when you cross legs...

Oh, my shorts are long enough to hide anything that would be seen as indecent.

@CoralLevang Some men don't mind when someone wants to peek up the leg of our shorts...

If nothing is exposed accidentally and it is comfortable, why not? I would think that underwear would absorb the sweat and make it more comfortable but I've never had that equipment so I wouldn't know! You should do what makes you feel best. Lord knows it's hot enough that everyone should be as comfy as possible!!

"Do your ears hang low/do they wobble too and fro/can you tie them in a knot..." Well, I went commando and it was very comfortable.

If I wear pants or short I like to wear my whities, during hot summer days I mainly wear a dress and I go commando inside the house.

@TheHorse When we first came here I did, but a few comments from some men living on the hill in front of me made me think that they like to use binoculars here . They can continue to buy Playboy if they want, no free show here.

@CoralLevang No show at all, I am more than careful to keep the curtains closed when I go back to my bedroom after the shower.

In the Summer months I wear nothing inside the house if nobody else is here.

Tighty whities will keep your shorts from sticking to those things!

@DianneN Uhm... it is not the shorts sticking to anything that usually bothers a man. It is those things sticking to his legs that bothers him. (The tighty whities cause a person to perspire more than he usually would.) I did notice pony didn't actually explain that in his discussion starter.[em]lol[/em

@DaddyEvil I just wanted everything hanging free, for maximum air exposure. It worked out OK, as I recall.

Well, I enjoy all of my own smells. But then, as I've said elsewhere, I sweat ambrosia and fart nectar.

I can't - I just can't. It's like a piece of armor or something . . . it protects me and makes me feel secure .

I agree. I used to go commando a lot. But now I only do when it's really hot, or when I'm just heading to the gas station for smokes or Gatorade.

May I ask some questions, pony? They are relevant. Did you watch the show "Friends" when it was on Network television? If so, did you see the episode where the gang was at the coffee bar when Phoebe's friend was going commando and the gang could see his "mouse" was attempting to escape? (He wore really loose legged shorts.) If that is a possibility, please re-think your wardrobe, in the future. (I know this is an old discussion, but chose to answer it anyway.) On the show, Phoebe's friend didn't mind showing off... I believe you are not as bold, or possibly I mean to say you are not as gauche as that man was.... I go commando year round since I am always hot, even in blizzard-like temperatures. (I am also more rude and crude than you are. If someone asks, I show them. I can't see you doing that, even if someone ask nicely and said, "Please.") When I lived alone, I rarely wore anything in my house. Now, I have to have a minimum of clothes (a pair of silk shorts) if I am out of my room.

When it involves good music, 95 degree weather wouldn't faze me in the least! I love almost any kind of music, as long as it's not amplified to an uncomfortable level:( Yes, I'd definitely grab some cranberry juice, some sparkling water, and head over to join those music loving friends!:)

It was a good time. I did some jamming with my friend Rick, then he performed with his buddy Bruce, then we all jammed. I wonder if any of Rick and Bruce's stuff is out there in YouTube land. They're really good together.

@DaddyEvil Probably not. They have so many band names I get lost. I'll try to figure out which bands they're in together.
