“If you got some extra change from the store, what would you do?”

As part of my New Year’s Resolution, I started to have a piggy bank and earn the extra change if buying from the grocery store. I cannot let them scattered on any places in the houses. The best thing is to let the coins slip into the back of my piggy bank. It would be a big blast bashing the piggy bank at the end of this year. “How about you, guys?” Image Credit: pixabay.com

I just use the change the next time I shop as I keep it always in my pocket to make use of it.

It sometimes troublesome to have them in my pocket. But, I think it is also a good way for my little niece to know how to save the coins and let her slip into my piggy bank.

I have a huge water jug I have been putting my change in. I don't get a lot as I don't go very many places. I also save my $1.00 bills when I do get them. I have a really old blue canning jar that I put old coins in too.

@Shavkat Yes I love old things and finding an old coin is cool, I have Indian heads, a few buffalo nickels, mercury dimes and the like. My favorite is a 1/2 penny!

I think that it is nice to have them in a jar. If I could have a big jar, I will do the same thing.

@Shavkat nice. Mine is just an ordinary one bought from the store. Nothing fancy.

Yes, I save change up in jars, and still have the old piggy bank, tucked away.

How I wish I have fewer expenses in order to save more money. Every time I have extra change on my pocket, my younger siblings get it for their allowances. So I end up not saving my extra change. Maybe, I can do it once my siblings finish their studies and get work to support their own expenses.

I can understand where it is coming from. I can see myself in that situation. My parents cannot save the extra change because it serves an allowance for me and my other siblings.

Loose change would go to 'Bantay Bata' coin banks. If there are any.

I take meds. So have these leftover med bottles....I put the change in those. Eventually, I will go to the bank and put it in the machine that adds it up....and gives you a slip you take to the bank teller. She will give you the cash in dollars.

We don't have like that here. It would be more convenient that carrying coins. The best option is to let it be changed in nearby stores into banknotes.

That's a good practice. We used cans of pineapple juice to save 5 peso and 10 peso bill. We don't have piggy banks

Any extra money I earn (like from music gigs or speaker restoration) goes into the bank. I don't want it around the house.

Most of my online service payment will go straight to my bank account. For the coins, I just kept it in my coin purse.

I put all the change into the coin rolls... I have one for every denomination. And once they are filled up I deposit to the bank.
