This weekend several churches and the town are having Trunk-or-Treating events. Tonight we will be visiting the local town Trunk-or-Treat. Several businesses are going to provide the Trunks and Treats. I am sure hubby will take the kids around to some houses as well. Then we plan to visit two churches on Saturday for their Trunk-or-Treats. It will be a fun weekend! What are you doing this weekend?

I'm staying home this weekend and just relaxing. My book is finished and after I submit it the right way tomorrow, I'll get it approved and it will be available by midweek. So I'm chilling. My daughter's birthday is tomorrow, so I might go over there if she's going to be home. We'll see. I'm sure now that the weather has definitely cooled off they'll be taking the boat out of the water.

What do the people do during the Trunk-or-Treat? So, how was that event? I was just at home last Saturday and Sunday. I did some cooking and cleaning of our bedroom too.

@SIMPLYD Have you ever heard of Trick-or-Treating, where kids dress up in costumes and go from house to house asking for candy on Halloween? It is the same concept but people decorate their vehicle trunks and it is called Trunk-or-Treating. They had lots of fun.

I have been painting, the store is still in full bloom, and I'm making much more money than I thought I would be so, I enjoy painting and love going to the bank. I really want to spend more time here but early morn seems the only time I get here - before my day starts. I'm not sure what trunk or treats is, I will look it up.

@PainsOnSlate you are truly blessed to have a hobby that pays so well. Trunk-or-Treat is like Trick-or-Treating except people meet in a public community area and they decorate the trunks of their vehicles for Halloween.

@Courtlynn Yes, house to house is fun. Hubby took them for a bit of that on the 31st as well as another Trunk-or-Treat at a local church. They had fun and got plenty of candy.

It sounds like so much fun to go to more than one of those. I'm going to my nephew's baby dedication service Sunday, but it's 3 hours away. So my family is leaving at 5:30am to get to their church in time. Yikes!

We have gone to three different trunk or treats and will be going to a fourth one this Tuesday before door to door trick or treating. The one we went to was only about 6 cars but they had other things for the kids to do which was really why we went. We didn't know there was going to be a trunk or treat until we got there.

@shaggin Sounds like your kids really got to load up on the candy! Score for them. It is so nice when there are things in the community that can keep the kids happy that are free.

@Shellyann36 Yes free or low cost community events are wonderful. People used to make comments on my Facebook posts about all the things I did with kids saying how they wished they could afford to do this with their kids. Everything I went to was free all it ever cost me was gas they were just being rude as we are very very low income and I manage.

@shaggin Yes, just as soon as someone sees that you are doing something fun they jump on the bandwagon about money. I rarely post to FB and I don't visit unless I have a message from a close family member.

We've done that in the past. Unfortunately this weekend is too busy so we'll be unable to do any Halloween activities. The kids have their Marching Band championships this weekend.

@Jackalyn the trunk of the car is decorated for Halloween or even Fall and Harvest themes. One of the cute ones I saw was Charlie Brown and the pumpkin patch.

@jaboUK @nomus24g Trunk-or-Treat is just like Trick-or-Treating, except instead of decorating houses the people decorate the trunk of their cars and pass out candy in one central area. The kids had a blast.
