Mine is "Listen" (with Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman & Samuel Anderson). And it's my favorite because of the epilogue---the monologue Coleman's "Clara" delivers to 'the boy whose bed she ends up under' (at first we think it's Anderson's "Mr. Pink," but we overhear his parents talking about how "he'll never make 'Time-Lord!' (And we remember that Clara's The Impossible Girl who stepped into a 'time-fissure' in order to be present at all the instants when The Doctor (Capaldi & dozens of others) needed someone to save him ) And that monologue summed-up the lesson of the entire series (near the bottom of the linked page): http://chakoteya.net/DoctorWho/34-4.html "Listen. This is just a dream. But very clever people can hear dreams. So, please, just listen. "I know you're afraid, but being afraid is all right. Because didn't anybody ever tell you? Fear is a superpower. Fear can make you faster and cleverer and stronger. And one day, you're going to come back to this barn. And on that day you're going to be very afraid indeed. "But that's okay. Because if you're very wise and very strong, fear doesn't have to make you cruel or cowardly. "Fear can make you kind. "It doesn't matter if there's nothing under the bed or in the dark, so long as you know it's okay to be afraid of it. "I'll show you. So, listen. If you listen to nothing else, listen to this. "You're always going to be afraid, even if you learn to hide it. Fear is like a companion. A constant companion, always there. But that's okay, because fear can bring us together. "Fear can bring you home. I'm going to leave you something, just so you'll always remember, fear makes companions of us all."

It would be impossible for me to choose a favourite episode due to how many I have seen. I saw the very first episode back in 1963 and have seen every episode since.

But was there an episode that made you feel "privileged to be a DOCTOR WHO-fan"?

@mythociate There have been many over the years. One that has always stayed in my mind was the very first. The reference to 3 dimensions being insufficient to calculate the overall mass really caught my attention because even though I was on 14 I knew that it was right. The show was far beyond science fiction show that I had known, which immediately made me a fan.

@Asylum I also see it as a philosophy-show (especially with the 'David Tennant'-doctor going up against The Devil). But another sci-fi/philosophy show has always been STAR TREK (and of-course STAR WARS).

Yeah, especially because the Weeping Angels have been featured so many times in the series ... not as much as the Daleks or the Cyber-Men, but neither of them got so-memorable an introduction.
