So much snow

We've gotten quite a bit of snow overnight. And we're supposed to get more. It's crazy. It's not the biggest snow fall we've had, but we're still getting quite a bit. My husband is out shoveling a path. My girls were supposed to have ballet, but it's been cancelled due to the amount of snow. So, glad I don't have to take them. It's hard to believe that yesterday we were getting rain, and now the temperatures dropped to below zero and we're getting quite a bit of snow.

My sister who lives in Montreal is so tired of shoveling.

It's really a chore. I'm looking forward to not having to deal with it.

@marlina Me too as we shovel ourselves most of the time. It costs money to hire someone. If the snow is heavy, then we call someone with a plow on their truck.

@Susan2015 It does get expensive to have to hire someone.

Southern Illinois has been lucky, we've only gotten a few inches the entire season so far

That's definitely lucky. We had gotten quite a bit, which thawed due to the unusually warm weather the last few days. Well, it's all back now.

It is still very warm here, they had announced rain for tomorrow, but it seems it will not be the case.

I wish we were still getting rain. Yesterday, when it was raining, it was definitely a nice change.

Same story, different location, here in St Catharines. Plus, it's "blustery"... that's the official weather word. At least it's covering up all the crap left behind after the melt. Guess I better get out there and start shovelling. At least clear the steps.

Hopefully, it doesn't get too bad for us. It's not pleasant having to deal with the shoveling.

@dodo19 It wasn't too bad, the snow was the light fluffy kind. Unfortunately, the plow just went by and I have to do it all over again.

@BarBaraPrz That really isn't fun when you have to do it again. That's frustrating.

I'm delighting in unusually warm and rainy, gloomy weather. I'm sorry you are getting snow dumped.

Sadly we did. But we did get some really warm weather on Thursday and Friday and I did enjoy it. Hopefully we get more of that weather soon.

We have not been hit by much snow at all in our Chicago suburb at all, but sooner or later, we will be dumped upon.

@dodo19 I went out this afternoon and waited for the bus #202. I waited 20 min and then walked the 12 blocks to the metro, I never saw the bus. The snow was beautiful but the sidewalks were messy and I had to walk carefully on the street facing the traffic which was very light. Now we have to face a few days of extreme cold.

@1hopefulman it’s not surprising the bus didn’t show and the roads weren’t quite done. It does look like we’re in for a few days of cold unfortunately.

The weather has been so crazy here to. When it snows a lot shoveling every certain amount of time or inches can help a lot to keep from being overwhelmed with a huge amount at the end.
