Sunday was a crazy day of breaking down & shopping

Sunday morning when I went for a walk the neighbors were going outside and their dog snuck out. It crossed the road and wanted to see my puppy. He’s gotten loose plenty of times but won’t let me get within 50 feet of him.
This time he got up close to smell my puppy and I got to see what a beautiful face he has. I believe he’s part pit bull and part boxer. However my puppy was scared to death and screamed and snarled at him.
My daughter needs a dress for a ceremony for the National Junior Honor Society this week. We left home and a mile down the road the gas pedal quit working.
If you recall when I had picked it up from the garage it was extremely hard to push. I called my mother to pick my daughter up to take her home for me while I waited the hour for the tow truck.
The tow truck driver arrived and was so nice. He had me lift the hood and quick moved a wire it sparked and when I revved the gas pedal and it worked!
Ironically we found out while chatting briefly that we are distant cousins so it was an interesting way to meet.
I then went home and my daughter was so happy we still had time to go shopping. We went to the mall and I got some great deals.
I had an American Eagle gift card from about 4 years go I had bought my ex but we broke up before I gave it to him for Christmas that year. I was able to finally use the gift card and got my daughter a pair of jeggings.
She got a bunch more things and good deals but the best was the dress she picked out at Forever 21 was on clearance for $2.50 
I was exhausted but wanted some time to relax so before bed I finished the book I was reading “Paper Towns” by John Green. I got a little teary eyed at the end.

@1hopefulman It is a pretty simple gray dress but she loves it and I gave her one of my necklaces to fancy it up.

Wow that was unsafe glad you’re okay. And an interesting way to meet a discount cousin, glad he was able to help fix the gas pedal situation.

@infatuatedbby luckily I was only a mile from home and on a back road so I didn’t risk getting hit. It was quite an interesting way to meet a cousin. Shopping sucks but getting good deals is awesome!

@infatuatedbby nope not unless he happens to look me up on Facebook. I don't even remember what he said his first name was. I have a terrible memory. I remember his last name though because it was the name of the towing company.

I love shopping only if its good deals of course :) And you certainly did score some.

Oh man, glad the tow truck driver could get it working! And wow that is an interesting way to meet! But now you know of one another so that's cool!
That's an expensive store, so having a giftcard to use there is awesome! And wow such a great deal on the dress!

@Courtlynn that is where my boyfriend shopped at the time so I bought him that gift card. I've been in there many times looking for something to spend the gift card on but it's so dang expensive. It was for $50 and the jeggings cost $51 after tax. I would never have spent that much money on clothes but I was never going to wind up using this gift card if I didn't just give it and stop hoping to find a few sale things to spend it on. After that I found her jeggings at Aeropostale for $17! Much better deal that I could afford!

@JESSY3236 thank you I hope so too. Hopefully the wire doesn’t come loose again but if the gas pedal gets hard again to push then I will know what’s wrong right away instead of having to guess.

@anikoonline I got really lucky the dress she finally picked out happened to be so low priced. It's not fancy but she isn't a fancy girl. She's going to borrow one of my necklaces to go with it to fancy her look up a bit.

I had a similar experience with a tow truck driver a few weeks ago. He was able to do some cleaning under the battery cables and got it going again.

@snowy22315 I had no idea they would do anything but tow you to a nearby station so thats awesome you and I were both helped by the driver. Saves us a mechanics fee!
