BLOCKEDme?

There is one discussion posted in the most recent that I opened to read its contents. I wanted to comment but I cannot. When I went back to the wall of the user, I saw that those “follow”, “send message”, and “block” are nowhere. Then I realized I was blocked. Huh? Blocked? And I don’t even check on this user’s discussions; I do not follow the user and I am not sure if the user follows me too. Then I remembered: I made a comment in one of the discussions posted by the user because it was plagiarized. That is why the user blocked me. I made my own reason why the block. With that in mind, may I ask if somebody (like the admin) informs a user if a discussion is deleted due to plagiarism, and the one who reported is also informed to the said user? But I know this is far from truth. Do you know the reason of the blocker why he/she blocked you?

Admin does not tell the person when a discussion is removed. If that user wants to know the reason, they should send a PM to @GoAskAlice. When a discussion is reported, it is completely anonymous. Nobody but Admin can see when a post has been reported and even Admin can only see that a post has been reported, not who reported it. Of course, if you tell the user in a response that you have reported it, then it ceases to be anonymous! Unfortunately, some people don't take kindly to being told when they have violated the guidelines and will block people who do this. That doesn't mean, of course, that you should stop reporting people for plagiarism if you detect it. Those who dislike being told about the Guidelines are not likely to last very long here and, by blocking someone, they are potentially losing the earnings they might have had from the interaction!

@sol_cee Admin can remove responses and comments if they are against the Guidelines but the discussion itself is not. Of course, the 'discussion owner' can also delete any responses or comments, so it isn't necessarily obvious who deleted a response or a comment and why.

On this note admin, do you also remove comments? Or discussions?

NO, we are never informed if a discussion we reported is deleted and we are not informed if someone blocked us. He/she blocked you to prevent that you type comments.

@ridingbet The Administrator never discloses the name of those who report discussions, no matter which is the reason why we report (plagiarism, obscenity, against rules).

@LadyDuck that is what i thought of, but i was also wondering why this user blocked me when we do not even connect with each other at all.

that is the problem, my friend. we are not even following each other and this user blocked me. i really wonder her reason why she did that thing to me, that is why i had the question if the blocker's name was informed to the plagiarist (in this case) that is why the block. but i don't give much thought about it because i do not really find the user's discussions appealing to me, in my own personal opinion.

Since I am confused as to the guidelines here in deletion of a post, I was happy to see that Owl About answered it for all of us to be enlightened. Hmm, who could it be that blocked you?

You do not know why They blocked you. Have someone else ask them. It might have been an accident.

i agree. accidental blocks happen all the time and the person is not even aware it happened.

it is okay. i would not ask why. it is because i do not read much of the user's discussions and we are both not following each other so, it is good.

@hereandthere accidental or intentional, i would not care about it anymore. we are not even following each other. i was just surprised why i was blocked when we do not interact regularly.

The admins do not give the reason why a post is deleted. It would be good if the member who wrote it would be inform so she/he can improve

they can send a pm to mylot admin to ask as per this administrative advisement dated april 2017:
I just want to take a moment to remind everyone that if you have a discussion removed and you would like to know why, please send me a private message rather...

@hereandthere And I did just that. They said they would look into the matter and get back at me. But they did not. So I let it be.

Hi po. I just had my first deleted discussion but I dont mind because I liked the end result. The person who blocked me here for sure it was not accidental because that user would have at least realized that. I should even be the one to block the user for being rude to a newbie and many times I have mentioned it in some discussions here where the person also responded. Besides, I do not care if that person is the “boss”. After all, we are all the same here.

well, let us just think about the positive thing here. let us just say, that user is envious of us, or does not want comments coming from others who will eventually twist their brains out for valid reasons?
