The House In The Forest

Oh how I would love to live in a house in the forest. A neat little house with a thatched roof and small garden. With a little guest house nestled at it's side.
I would paint it's shutters green and build my fences out of sticks and everyone who wonder who that lucky person is who has such a beautiful little piece of the woods.
The birds would come and visit and sing for their supper. The deer would graceful walk through the pathway of my gardens.
I would love to live out my days in this magical place where the gardens are so fruitful and the animals are my friends.
If you had a choice of anywhere in the world to live where would you like it to be?

Someplace isolated and quiet away from humanity.

Haha, my comment was similar. Get me away from people, and I will be happy!

@moffittjc I guess we must both be anti-social.

Don't wanna be too far out!!! Saw a movie about a family on vacation and the aliens took them up no matter how hard they tried to get away!!! The boy and his sister though they had gotten away!! But nope!! They got 'em and the camera was thrown out of the spaceship and filmed some of what was going on in the space ship!!!!

I would love to live in a house in the forest! But there would also have to be a river, stream or lake nearby (preferably with crystal clear water that I could swim in), and maybe some mountains nearby.
I would be happy living anywhere where I could get away from all the idiots of this world.

@HazySue I agree. Life in the forest is just so much more serene and relaxed. Nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the world.

That's a nice dream! The picture looks nice but I would like a little stream and a a little lake nearby.

That's a really cute house, I like the way they made the fence along the path.
I've learned over the years that some places may look beautiful in a picture or as you drive by but that doesn't mean it's always that beautiful .... I know what I have where I am and even with the changes that have been occuring I still feel like I know what to expect but if I moved to someplace I think is pretty like the house in your picture I'd want to know what the norms are in every season

I love the edge of the mountains. Cool air in the summer and snow in the winter, but not so far into the mountains that it's hard to get out to go to town. I dream of a garden that's fruitful, too, but it take a lot of hard work for that dream!
I have always wanted a log cabin with a fireplace, window seats and a front porch.

Oh my gosh, I would totally love this too! Recently Hubby came across Giethoorn, Netherlands - online . . . there are cottages like this plus canalways . . . I think you might like this place too!
There are no roads in Geithoorn. Only dreamy canals dripping with lush flora and quiet canoes gliding by… Am I daydreaming? No, I swear...

@HazySue Can you imagine living in a community like that? I can only dream . Living in Los Angeles, we don't have houses like that, but house prices are nuts like that. An ok house here can easily be $700,000 - no cottage or canals!

I like my location pretty well, and once the major plumbing is done I can plant some wonderful trees and bushes to make it even better. I do need to always have a working car, though.

it sounds nice, but too isolated for me.
