What do you think of that whole ripped jeans look?

I think it is a bit strange as a fashion statement..but it seems to be all the rage. Even though I think it is a bit weird..I might order some capris with some tiny rips on the knee, just to be "one of the cool kids.". I wonder who the first person was to tear their jeans and declare it a fashion statement? People will buy anything it seems. I thought after the muddy jeans I had seen it all. I guess ripped jeans beat the droopy jeans showing your boxers look.

I don't care how "trendy" it gets, I find that look "deplorable".

I hate it. It is a trend that needs to die. I was quoted as saying that in this year's yearbook at my school.

Some people have rips all over their leg. I would never buy jeans that are more hole than jean!

I've seen the ones where there is a band of fabric across the knee cap, and fabric around the buttocks and back of the legs. Otherwise, there is no fabric. I find those just simply stupid.

@snowy22315 I like my jeans whole. Maybe a tear in the knees, but I'd rather that come from hardwork and play than by design.

Well, we are all human. As I said, I think it is better than the droopy jeans look. That I really couldn't stand.

What kind of statement do you think they are trying to make? In my day, it was shameful to wear something with a hole in it.

Nowadays many young people like to wear ripped jeans. Aha, I am too old to catch up with the fashion.

I don't mind a small rip in the knee, but some of it is way too much.

I hate when things rip so ripped jeans are a no-no for me. Not only will I not wear them but I will not spend big money on them either. Those things are not cheap. If anything I'd just buy a cheap pair and rip it myself.

We wore ripped jeans in the 70's and 80's sometimes, but that was mostly because the kids in my town were poor and could only get one or 2 pairs a year. I think it became a "look" out of necessity in the 1980's.

I wonder if they are more expensive than the normal ones? I would prefer to rip my old one instead of buying a new ripped one. The situation won't arise anyway because I am not a jeans person.

Nah! I wouldn't buy those ripped jeans that cost much. I think it's not worth the buy. I thought though that those tiny rips are considerable but those over ripped? I just wonder what's more in the coming years.
