After a wicked several days of mourning the death of our precious kitty, Kuma, our 8 year old grandson called with news.
He sent his sympathy for Kuma and told us how much he loved us and to try not to be sad. He alerted us to the fact that kitties play with each other in Heaven.
His other piece of news was that he was invited to play hockey as goalie at Madison Square Garden during halftime at the New York Rangers game on January 17th. He told us he was chosen, because he is so good as a goalie.
~The photo is from the US Open he attended. He learned how to play tennis at summer camp, and now he takes weekly lessons in New York City. I hope he’s as good in tennis as he is in ice hockey!~
He sure picked up our spirits.

Wow, judging from the size of that racquet and ball, he must be in the giant league.
We might see him on TV when he plays goalie on Jan. 17th.

I'm glad you are moving on and your grandson does a big help for you. I'm sure you're going, of course, to give the big support to grandson.

Dianne, I just saw this now. I am so so sorry about Kuma. How are you doing? Is Doodles doing ok because he lost his sister. I am happy for your grandson and that was very sweet what he said. I know you must be very sad. I was hoping for a miracle for her.

Thank you, Hanni. We are all miserable and sad. Our son is taking it the hardest, since he raised her from a tiny kitty. Doodles stood on her grave all by himself for a few minutes, but is ok. He likes being the one getting all the attention.

@DianneN His face is so radiant and full of life. Children are so simple and straight with their logics. They do not complicate logics.
