Flying All Over the Place

Literally! Our son and his family are flying home from Aruba today. That’s our 8 year old grandson in the photo.
My sister-in-law arrives next Saturday for the season. She has a condo in our building one floor below us. We will pick her up at the airport and treat her to dinner, as we always do. Our friends fly in that day, too.
My brother just sent me all the dates he and his wife are flying in and out of Florida. It adds up to 4 back and forth trips to pick them up at arrivals and departures. They live in our small complex, too.
Today, hubs and I flew all over the place: the gym, coffee, Fresh Market (love that place), the pharmacy, and lunch out.
I’m sitting in the sunshine to relax before going out tonight. We’ve been invited to a friend’s house for prime rib!

Nice picture and nice spot! On of my daughters is vacationing with her family in Cuba and I am enjoying the winter wonderland in Montreal.

@DianneN I personally do not celebrate Christmas and she went there because they like to get away from things and enjoy some warmer weather since there is no work and no school.

Haven't been doing that in years but no regrets. I am quite settled as Solitaire is a source of constant joy

We will be at Claudia´s house for Christmas eve. Then Claudia invited me to the beach with her children. We´ll be there for 4 days, between Christmas and the New Year.

Today, I'm not flying anywhere, I'm staying home, now that the New Year's Day grocery shopping is done. I didn't swim this morning. No lifeguard when I got there and the receptionist didn't know when she would get there. So, I left. Shopped instead.

Your family is certainly flying about! We are not flying but definitely driving all over the place - the kids and I were in the Santa Monica, Valencia, and Burbank/Glendale areas in the past 3 days. Today we go to Laguna Niguel to see MIL - maybe hit the beach!2 people like this

@DianneN Thank you! Hubby was hobbling to work since Tuesday - but by Friday he was mostly better (still feels twinges every now and then). MIL seemed to be doing well - still adjusting - we let her lead the way yesterday to show us around. We didn't make it to the beach - we stayed at the "home" all day - even had lunch and dinner there. They say it's like being on a cruise ship there - and they weren't kidding - she is more than taken care of there.

I don't fly any more. I don't even got to the shopping mall any more. 
My daughter wanted to hang out with her friends for the holiday and they agreed to meet at the mall. I saw all those people at the mall and the only thing I could think was "I don't want to be here! There are too many people! I wanna go home!"

We will travel some 90 kilometers from our home to the home of my sister-in-law, then travel back home and to my sister's home for the family reunion on Christmas day.

@leny34 We are on the Intercostal waterway with a beach and tides. Right across from that is the Atlantic Ocean. That photo of my grandson was taken on his vacation with my son, granddaughter, and daughter in law in Aruba, an island in the Caribbean off the coast of Venezuela. We aren’t there, but in Florida.

Cute photo, Fresh Market has some cool stuff..Their steaks are amazing looking,but most things are over priced. I do love their big candy section though. No flying now, but maybe sometime in the future.

I'm not flying anywhere. Although my kids and I will be spending some time at a chalet with my mom's side of the family. just one night. And we'll be driving there. We leave this afternoon and come back tomorrow night. Then on Tuesday we spend the morning here and then over to my mother-in-law's for the afternoon.

@DianneN it is xmas holiday but at 27-28 th december i have to go to my workplace or annual evaluation. i will go for my holiday at 28 evening -1 january
