What's the worst pain you can have in your body? Well I think that it's a toothache and PJ had one so bad that it kept him awake. The whole side of his face was swollen and nothing was helping it, he tried mouthwash, pain bills, and so one. So I sat up with him in the dark just watching him and make sure he was ok. About 5:30 this morning was the last time I looked at the clock. He finally passed out sitting up in bed and got some sleep.

Yep, toothache is really bad. About the only thing which comes close (apart from giving birth) is earache

Yes earache is the worst, I get those a lot and want to tear off the side of my face.

I'd have to say stomach aches. As they're also very uncomfortable.

I went out today and got him some different things to take, and he had feeling better now. Not completely but it's a start, and yes stomachache can be awful.

Toothache are terrible. It seems nothing works to stop the aching. Glad he was able to finally get some sleep. Hope he gets some pain from the relief soon.

Thank you and I know the pain is so bad, I wish there was something I could do to help but I just have to let it pass and keep an eye on him.

I definitely agree that it is one of the worst pains you can have! Sorry to hear he had one that bad that nothing would help. I usually get numbing medicine that helps for a short time.

Yes it is the worst, he went through pills like they were going out of style, and numbing meds don't seem to help his either. But finally he has some relief.

@MommyOfEli2013 yeah it's a terrible feeling when the meds don't work like they should, and I'm happy about it also.

@hillhjill Sorry that the numbing meds don't really help him...I don't know what I'd do if they didn't help me. Glad he finally has some relief though

@ThreeTeddies thank you and as soon as we get everything going and get my husband back on help we will be able to afford it. The dentist around here is very expensive.

@hillhjill Really? Not being able to afford to go to a dentist is an unthinkable thing for me. As a UK citizen I am (yet again) thankful that my health doesn't depend on my bank balance. I feel very sorry for both of you

Thank God, I have never had a real toothache. It is terrible that your hubby had that. I hope he gets it taken care of right away!

THIS TOO SHALL PASS.
That's the main thing I would say to him. The pain means your body senses something's wrong, and--as long as you're not doing anything bad to it-your body's immune system gets to work on the problem.
Have Faith it will pass, so long as he lets it go

I agree! I have had a few abscesses in my teeth where my face got swollen, and ached so bad that tears would stream down my face in agony. =(
I'm sorry he was in so much pain and I am praying for healing.

Nope, we don't have the money for that.. But once we get him going on his medical again that is the first place I'm bringing him.

Toothache is one of the worst. A home remedy is Clive oil but that is only to tide you over till the dentist sees to it
