April Showers

Happy April ... a new month rolls around.
Happy Monday Everyone! it's a rainy day here today and if the forecast is correct, it's going to rain the whole week. But, as they say, April showers bring May flowers.
The weekend flew by (don't they all?). We had a really nice Easter Sunday with the family. As always we had too much food so I sent some home with everyone. Kept just enough for us to have for a meal or two. No matter how hard I try to make a menu that works for everyone and not over buy when I shop it never works. What never seems like enough always turns out to be more than enough.
Today I'm just going to relax. The older I get, the more tired I am after having company.
I already know it's going to be an extra cup of coffee this morning

Better to have more than enough. I would be embarrassed if anyone was hungry if I didn't have enough food

@Marilynda1225 Tomorrow seems to be the only dry and partly sunny day of the week. Last year no rain at all, this year it rains every day.

We just have rain and it's cold. Tomorrow thunderstorms are predicted and the whole rest of the week looks nasty.

I'm glad you had a good weekend and a wonderful Easter with your family. Figuring out how much to buy and make for holiday meals is always difficult.
I'm sorry it will rain all week.
We're getting snow today and tomorrow. We're under an alert for a foot of snow.

Yesterday it was sunny and nice. I opened the windows and the cats loved that. I watched the end of a show and worked on my mother's diamond painting.

It's pretty hot here. Very unusual as our city never gets extreme temperatures. And another weird thing is not getting any rain in the last few months. We always complained about excessive rains. But not now, we badly need a good shower.
Happy to know that you had a good Easter with loved ones. I too enjoy a good company, but get tired after such social gatherings, especially if I am the host. Relax. Have a good week and a good month of April.

All of my stepmom’s family came over for Easter at my dad’s house, so I know she must have over prepared. Which is good for all the people she sends her yummy food home with. I bet the same thing could be said about your food!
We are going to have severe storms starting in a few hours, so I am nervous. This time of the year the tornadoes come.

I remember mom saying something like that after we left home, she was used to cooking for 4 and us kids always had big appetites but when it was just her and dad she always had too much food and eventually stopped cooking dinner that often. Mom would cook once a week and she would reheat what ever she'd make for the rest of that week.

We had a nice and sunny day here today.
We are expecting rain later this week, but it will be the white kind of rain, snow.
I am so tired of seeing snow in the forecast.
But hopefully, better days ahead.
