What do you do to make mylot fun? Is it just money for you? do you message your friends, and try to get to know them better? Do you post fun topics to talk about?

I like to have fun with people. I love talking with people and getting to know them. That is what attracted me to myLot. The money is a nice bonus. :) But yes, when a friend strikes up a conversation in private message or even in a dicussion, I like to respond and get to know the person better. This is very therapuetic for me. I don't get out into the world that much. And if you do not want to include my trips to WalMart or errands...I don't get out at all. So myLot is my link to people in the world so I do not die of loneliness. I had joined Myspcae because my sister wanted me there to help me keep in touch since moving 3,000 miles away a year ago. But you know how keeping in touch goes, even with family, life gets in the way and you forget those you have befriended online. Or she just goes and gets a boyfriend and forgets about her sister still hanging. ha ha And yes, I do try to start funny topics at times. I have some that had me laughing for hours at people's responses. Like the would you rather fly when you fart or pee when you laugh. I started that discussion a month ago and was great reading responses. There are others too, but I didn't think I should list them all. :)

Hey thanks! I wonder sometimes if anyone else finds me humorous. I mean, I know I can make myself laugh but I often wonder about others. I blame that on my partner. ha ha I think he has something wrong with his 'sense of humor monitor'. I will say something I think is funny, but he will just look at me with the lowered nose as if to ask, "And you really find yourself humorous?" Why...yes I do sometimes. Hence, why I bust out laughing when neither one of us is talking. Talk about the look I get from him then!!! He will sometimes ask what I was thinking and I will either shrug it off or tell him about the crazy scenerio going through my head. But then if I tell him, I just get one of those looks again and I think it must have been one of those, "I guess you had to be in my head kind of jokes". (Which is ranked right behind the, "I guess you had to be there jokes.") So thanks for liking my responses! It sure does make me feel better about my sense of humor. :)

I message my friends. I post topics that are serious and fun too. I also will post a discussion that is relative to something that is happening in my life or that has happened to me. I love to tell stories and this has been a great opportunity to test my writing abilities.

Like someone else has said, we are not going to get rich from MyLot. Some of the fun threads are great to read through and reply to, but the more serious threads are thought-provoking. I'm here for the fun factor and for the mind stretching. I'm not necessarily good with the philosophical threads, but I enjoy reading them.

A Religious Bear? In the middle of a forest, there was a hunter who was suddenly confronted by a huge, mean bear. In his fear, all attempts to shoot the bear were unsuccessful. Finally, he turned and ran as fast as he could. The hunter ran and ran and ran, until he ended up at the edge of a very steep cliff. His hopes were dim.Seeing no way out of his predicament, and with the bear closing in rather quickly, the hunter got down on his knees, opened his arms, and exclaimed, "Dear God! Please give this bear some religion!" The skies darkened and there was lightning in the air. Just a few feet short of the hunter, the bear came to an abrupt stop, and glanced around, somewhat confused. Suddenly, the bear looked up into the sky and said, "Thank you, God, for the food I'm about to receive...."

Having fun - Having fun
Yes myLot can be fun if we want it to be, but it is up to the individual. Some are only here for the money but others for the social outlet it gives them. I fall into the latter group and view what I do earn as a bonus, which might come in handy of course so we can do more travelling. LOL I do message some of my friends from time to time in the hope that we will get to know each other better. Of course we learn things about others by their discussions as well as their responses. I post a variety of discussions, some of which are jokes, but also trivia and some serious discussions. Sadly the serious discussions are generally the ones which attract the fewest responses. Again, I think that is due to the fact that earning money is the aim of quite a number of people here at myLot. However I will persevere and continue in the same way that I have been doing. Great discussion mytwo_daughters and thanks for starting it for us. :)

Thanks very much for the compliment! It's always nice to get great compliments from people who respond to your discussions. One can never be to secure in knowing if their discussions are going to be one to connect with others! I try to have fun either with my daughter or mylotters.

I most enjoy mylot when there are interesting, thought provoking topics. Like your cindy sheehan one was good! I like to debate and that is fun. When it is not fun is when someone posts some yes or no question and everyone responds YES or NO and nothing else. Those aren't even worth my reply b/c it's a boring topic. I don't think everything has to be as hardcore as news stories, and I also enjoy casual light conversation as long as it is somewhat interesting :) I'm still working on making friends so I don't message many yet! Still trying to learn the site.

Car Painting Mrid A blonde, wanting to earn some money, decided to hire herself out as a handyman-type and started canvassing a wealthy neighborhood. She went to the front door of the first house and asked the owner if he had any jobs for her to do. "Well, you can paint my porch. How much will you charge?" The blonde said, "How about 50 dollars?" The man agreed and told her that the paint and ladders that she might need were in the garage. A short time later, the blonde came to the door to collect her money. bond james "You're finished already?" he asked. "Yes," the blonde answered, "and I had paint left over, so I gave it two coats." Impressed, the man reached in his pocket for the $50. "And by the way," the blonde added, "that's not a Porch, it's a Ferrari."
