Do you eat any of internal organs of an animal. My family love to eat the lungs of a cow and also the chicken gizzard. We normally boil the lung, slice them, marinate and fried. It can be eaten with rice or just like that. Sometime we cooked them with some chilli and other to blend with other dishes. As for the chicken gizzard, we will marinade with tumeric powder or yellow ginger, salt and pepper and fried them. It yummy and well, sometime never really stay on the plate for more than half hour.

When I was young and living at home, my mother used to cook lamb's liver done with onions and mashed potato. It's a very tasty dish in acutal fact, and when I got married I carried on making it for a few years, then we stopped for some reason. Now and again I will use kidneys when I make a steak and kidney pie (very tasty), but on the whole, we don't eat much offal at all. I give cooked liver to my dogs now, mixed with their other food, and they love it.

well here in the philippines, people tend to like internal organs. There is "isaw" or chicken's intestines or pork's intestines which they normally broiled first then grilled it. We also grilled (after boiling of course) pork's liver. And we also have "sinanglao" here in ilocos. Its a meal, all internal organs with some meat are put into a broil then add spices. It a very delicious meal.

I think most older Asians eat some internal organs. I love liver fried with lots of ginger and tomato sauce, it is a great source of vitamin A.

Chicken gizzard is the greatest! I honestly try to try as many foods as possible when it comes to eating. The only way to know if you really like something is to eat it. I say chicken gizzard is the greatest, but honestly, chicken gizzard doesn't taste any different than the chicken meat itself. I find that the organs don't taste much different than the meat itself in many animals. Keep trying different things and you will find they all have their own unique taste.

I love to eat chicken gizzard too but to say that it taste the same as chicken meat, nay, I dont think so. It all depend how one cook the gizzard. If you fried them and too long, it can be very tough to eat them. Of course you have to be advanterous to try all kind of food to know how it really taste. I did if the food is Halal i.e consumable by Muslim. Just don't want to lose out I guess.

I do not eat organs of anything. To be honest when I first read that I was like how freaky. But now that I think about it I have heard about stuff like this before, and really don't think its that wierd anymore. If its edible and people aren't going to get hurt then why not eat it.

When I was younger, I do not eat all those stuff cause my mom will never give them to us. She said that all those internal organ is not good for the brain. LOL. I dont really know if it true, but when I grew older, I realised that the older people said that just to scare us as all those food is delicious. Sorry for making you felt freaky. Perhaps if you got the chance, try them. You will be surprise. Explore in order to learn.

My father in law's favourite dish is Liver with onions and Mashed potato. My mother in law eats sheeps brains as she thinks this will make her more intelligent - but have you ever seen a clever sheep! Personally, I don't eat internal organs or meat. I have sheep of my own and I can't bear to think of meat when I see it all day wandering around in the garden! Lol

i eat chicken heart, cow internal stomach part and chicken gizzard a lot. I love to eat the chicken gizzard bbq and the fried chicken heart. For cow internal stomach part, my mom loves to make them a soup malay style with their herbs and spices and the sambal perut - which cooked with the dried chili paste. Nice to eat with plain rice, and it taste very nice. I can bet you will want to add more rice for this.

My wife used to laugh at me and my family, we used to "Fight" over the chicken heart. She quit laughing when my youngest son asked if he could have the heart of the turkey one Thanksgiving. I can't say I like any other internal organ... but for me and my son, we can't wait to "have a heart" ;~D

Yep I do. Not regularly but I do eat them. We also eat the chicken gissard and the cow's lung - those ones we make with rice. I love cow's heart - as steaks - and liver. And sometimes we eat pork's kidney as stakes as well. There is a traditional plate back home that is made with beans and the stomach of the cow - all four of them LOL. The legend says that when napoleon invaded all the available food / meat was made ready for the soldiers that were into battle, leaving the villagers with not much. They experimented and ended up with this recipe that allow them to use the parts that nobody used to eat. It is now quite a well known Portuguese traditional dish. And I actually enjoy it very much. ANd now that I grossed out everyone, I'll go on answering other posts LOL
