My hubby has been after me to get a tattoo for years. He almost had me talked into it, but I held my ground. (I'm more into piercings anyway, except the tongue.) My whole idea is that you have to do what is comfortable for you robyn. You may have other tattoos, and you may like roses, but if this guy and you don't work out you know that everytime you look at that tattoo you're going to be reminded of him. And tattoos are permanent unless you have an obscene amount of money to have them removed. Personally, I just can't do permanent. And besides, I always think of my grandpa who has a tattoo on his chest, he had bypass surgery and they stitched him up and his tattoo is all crooked and messed up looking. Nope, I don't think tattoos are for me.

I think if my guy would ask me to get a tattoo, I would only get a henna tattoo since I am not into tattoos. He might see tattoos attractive and cute, but I am just not into it and tattoos are not my type. SO he can't force me if I say no anyway. :)

My other ones were for me their not big I think a couple is fine ,but over a certain amount or when they start getting big it doesn't look good anymore I got a henna once liked it didn't like where it was later on got it on my lower back

I have friends that have gotten tattoos together which was there way of saying they were together verses a ring I guess. I think it is a nice symbol but only if you want it would I get it. I would never have a person's name tattooed on me though. It still all boils down to do you really like this tattoo and would you like it if he wasn't around? Good luck!

A few years ago I had a boyfriend that had two tattoos. They were bith pictures. He got them when he was younger. He wanted me to have a tattoo but I said no to this. I am sure this anoyed him. We split up and the next time I saw him he had a third tattoo. This one had the word 'vegan' on it.

Hi You know how guys think out loud it was one of those times where my boyfriend had a thought in his head and said it out loud which made it sound like he wanted me to get a rose or something along thoughs line's I think it would be nice I'm being picky about the one I want. I think sometimes people don't clarify what they mean.

I think it depends on the stability of the relationship and also on what tattoo they wanted me to get and where they wanted me to have it. In the type of job I do, tattoos are ok as long as they are hidden. I really would like to get a tattoo anyway so that in itself wouldn't bother me. I don't think I would ever have someone's name as a tattoo though.

no, i don't think i would do it even if my husband is the one who ask me to do it... i am scared of needles and the thought of needles piercing through my skin is enough to make me scared... so, i don't think i will ever get a tatoo no matter how nice it is...

I am pretty easy going and always open to suggestions but this is one decision I would definitely put my foodt down on I would NEVER have a tattoo don't matter who asks me or even if they begged, pleaded or blackmailed, NO and NO again. Never I don't like them and couldn't go through the pain.

My ex-husband had two tattoos and decided to have one removed. They cut the skin off and sewed it back up and left him with a scar. Pamela Anderson and her first husband (can't remember his name right now) had their wedding rings tattooed on their ring fingers. That wasn't very smart. I would never jinx myself in that way. If my husband wanted me to tattoo his name on me then he would have to do the same with my name and promise this marriage will never end. But I would never do it. And I would never make him do it. I hate needles. And I think those tattoos look awful when someone starts to age - all wrinkly and sagging. Eeeww! On the Bold and the Beautiful Amber had half of a heart tattooed on her hip and Deacon had the other half of the heart tattooed on his hip. I thought that was kind of cool. I think I would do something like that with those temporary tattoos that you apply with a wet washcloth. LOL!

MAYBE. I have made a personal goal for me, to get a tattoo at least one by time I turn 30 in 2009 (EEK thats close!*L*). No joke. My mom thinks I am kidding. She thinks I am joking, a tattoo?? I know they hurt bad many have told me. I still want one. But probably two. Monkey and a cross is what I am thinking... So I MIGHT get a tattoo for a guy. It depends on if I get to choose :)) I'd do it on a place I can cover like my shoulder or ankle or something where for a nice job I could cover it, but also show it off on occasion

no way. just if i wanted to. tatoo is a thing that stays forever on your body. and i usually do things that i like doing and not a thing that my partners want me to do. it is funny cause two days ago i was sitting with my x in a coffee shop and he suggested we both will go and do a matching tatoo's a day after..i looked at him like he has gone crazy..crazy timing ah..?:) well if you do a tatoo you should have it in a place on your body that you would not have to deal with if you don't want to see it anymore. i think i'll go with the: behind the neck- somthing small and beautiful what do you think?

I'm sorry but I'm not really into tattoos. If you really don't feel like getting what your boyfriend told you to have then it really depends on you. Nobody could ever dictate you of what to do. Don't ever rely on your boyfriend's likes and dislikes. You have own choices and you should never do something just because you were told to do so even if it's against what your heart really feels.

The one and only tattoo that I have is my husband's name. It's inside of a superman logo, on my lower back. I am not the type to get tattoos but it meant a lot to him. I'm branded, in a sense. If you get a tatt because someone else urges you to, you will be branded, too. Even if it is not his name, every time you see that tatt, you will think of him. He will have branded you. That might be cool if you are that devoted but even to do it for a husband is a bit much. I know a guy who had his wife's portrait tattooed on his chest. It was huge! When they divorced, he didn't know what to do. I told him to go get "Mother" tattooed beneath it! LOL His ex was truly p.o.'d! Word to the wise, think long and hard about branding yourself for life.

Hey, as long as they paid for it, and it wasn't their name, I would get it, haha.

I probably wouldn't get one if someone asked unless I really liked the design. Think about it this way...when you're old with grandkids, will you be happy that it's still there? Something to think about. PS. I have 2. A tiny one on my ankle and one that can't be seen.

Im actualy in the process of having my rose removed I got it on my shoulder and would have preferred to get it in a more private place.I would definately advise you to get it down in a more private place also .That way it will be something special thats between you and your boyfriend.

I guess a rose tattoo will look good on a girl somewhere in the pelvic region hip area just where the watch-pocket of the jeans locate. or maybe on the back of the shoulder.
