Being on "top discussions" on mylot.....

I am new to this so I have not reached the top. I am already wondering what the secret recipe is to create a discussion that will draw an interest from people. So far I am having no luck!

I don't know i have never been in the top of discussions from mylot. Can't say what is the secret but probably the question you put must be simple and many people should know how to answer it

I've been in the Top Discussion list a few times. It actually seems to be generated by the top responses at that time. Not always the most. I've seen me there with 12 responses and others below me with 30 or more. So anyone at any given time can be there as far as I've experienced looking at the list. As far as a secret, I just try my best starting discussions and responding and posting photos according to the guidelines is all. No real secret there. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I think that the top discussions are usually something very genteral that a lot of people can answer. I haven't had one of those, but I like to concentrate on the topics that I am most interested in. I think I get a lot more out of the discussions that way. Usually I spend time in the writing area. I used to always look at the top discussions when I first joined but now I concentrate on what I like instead, and it's much more enjoyable to me.

I've had two discussions on this board, but I'd never say they were two of my best, so I don't know how your discussion makes it.

I am a just a beginner here. I am not hoping or apiring to be on top. I just want to post and have fun here at mylot. Eraning a lot is also another factor. I just reply on good topics too. Do good.!

Hi Zelmarq. Sometimes it's also a matter of timing. I started a topic that had 21 responses but reached the top discussion BUT a few minutes later it was no longer there. My thinking was that if I had logged on a few minutes later, I wouldn't have seen it on the top discussion page at all.
