What helped me most to lose weight.

One of the main things that helped me lose weight was walking. The first thing every morning I try to get out and walk for at least an hour and I've been doing that for over a year now. I have to admit that cutting out all junk food and drinking a lot of water has helped immensely to, but the walking is what I mostly contribute it to. Not only does it take the weight off but it helps tone the muscles especially in the lower part of the body. Sometimes I take hand weights with me to work on my arms while I'm walking. The thing I can't walk without is my walkman. It's a lot more fun to walk listening to music than listening to my own thoughts. Plus it helps give a sort of cadence to my steps and makes it a bit more fun. What are other good ways people have found to lose weight? Everyone seems to have their own personal weight loss stories and their always so interesting.

I totally agree with you. I started losing weight by walking and when I go to the gym i'm mainly on the treadmill for an hour. I enjoy it listening to my ipod shuffle as well, walking in beat LOL its fun, see the scenery as well. I have a long way to go but hopefully will get there.

I think do exercise is a good way to lose weight and keep health.I have no time to do much exercise and just walk to work to keep slim.

In this busy world today it is very hard finding time to visit a gym or just spend an hour or so doing exercise. At least the walking can be done whenever it's convenient for us.

I like yoga (and walking). The yoga keeps me centered and focussed and not so easily forgetting that I'm dieting! Keeps me better connected to my goals.. Plus keeping me limber and energetic.. :))

i had been continuously gaining weight for a period of time. i became overweight and i started to lose much of my self confidence. so i started to act on it. i took some medications to cleanse my system in order to be rid of my irrational hunger pangs. i was successful. now, i do not have cravings for junk foods and i am taking at least 3 liters of water each day. the good news is i have stopped gaining more weight, the bad news is i haven't trimmed down at all. i have noticed too that if i walk some kilometers each day, my tummy is greatly cut to better shape. yes, walking is good to take up to get back in shape.

Gaining weight does a job on our self-confidence and anything we can do to help lose the least little bit is always so helpful. The water is as helpful as the walking is isn't it!

I have just started walking as an exercise. Everyday I walk about half an hour. I have tried other means of exercise to loose weight but I feel walking is the best. You will not get bored with it.

I especially don't get bored when I bring a walkman with me. It makes it so much more fun.

Hi,ctrymuziklvr! Yes,losing weight is a big and important problem for women. Since last week,I began to keep dieting and doing more exercises.I sticked to having a bowl of rice porridge instead of the rice in every meal.Every morning,I forced myself jogging for 15 minutes.And I find that me way of losing weight is efficient.:)

I know about walking can burn our excessive calories, but just too lazy to start doing it. One of the hard truth is, the neighbourhood that i am living in has a lot of wild dogs, and i am really scare if they barks at me or even worse, chase after me. My office has finally installed the gym room last week, I shall start doing more exercise this week onwards. Thanks for the tips on walking with music :p
