I personally don't think any of it is real, but don't have any proof behind my opinion.

There was a time when wrestling was somewhat real, but boring. I will say that it takes skill to do some of the moves. I had a patient once and was able to learn a lot about what is happening. He said that first the ring has to be set up just right to make the sound effects. He said that the out come of the event is choose by promoter, but the individuals determine the way they get there. They have people who monitor the crowd foe excitement, then when they determine it is the best time end the match, they pass info to referee. The referee appears to be warning each side, but is telling then to speed it up or close the match in next few minutes.

I always get the impression wrestling is fake. It just seems so hyped up and overdone. I never was a big fan of it, but am still suprised at how many people still watch it.

Wrestling when comes to WWE and other brands is fake...But wrestling as a sports is not fake..just look at real wrestling and compare with the WWE ones and you will get your answer...

The stories are scripted, the wrestling is choreographed and rehearsed. The wrestlers have to practice their moves as well as their lines. There is nothing real about TV wrestling. I can’t stand WWE. They switched writers a few years ago and their story lines went down hill.

Even i wonder whether its happening real or something fighting like acting.I dont watch it nowadays but sometimes back my brother used to watch it regularly and i get along with him in discussing who will win the title. There are some reasons to believe its real as i have seen blood oozing out from head and other parts of body when beaten with chairs and sticks and large number of people gathered to watch..hope no one spends so much to watch a mere drama? Also these people physique is so good and i think for doing a fight to act why should they possess such a body structure? Some reasons for believing it a drama : we can see people hitting so hard at each other which is unimaginable as one may die if someone beats other like done in wwf.

I'm pretty sure It's all a made-up drama. But an extremely good one. Wrestlers will have to take up hella lot of pratice before they bring it up on stage and the stunts are pretty risky too. It's interesting anyway...

Wrestling is the act of physical engagement between two competitors competing for a physical advantage. It is the oldest form of martial arts, as part of human display behaviour constituting a human universal, practiced in various forms of folk wrestling all over the world. Physical techniques which embody the style of wrestling are clinching, holding, locking and leverage. Avoiding potentially lethal techniques, wrestling has aspects of ritual fighting, but its basic principles are closely related to those of military hand to hand combat or self-defence systems. But in WWE, Mr.McMahon makes a lot of money with his cool scripts, but there's nothing else to it.

Its fake. No human can bear the kicks and punches that you see in the Wrestling arena. That too, for those large muscles human beings, its impossible for even another large muscled human being to bear the pain. If you can notice, most of the time, the first one to get beaten will be one who wins at the end. I think everything is pre-decided and they just do what they have decided already on the stage. Its something like a fight drama, rather than a sport. Thats what I think.

That's why its called sports entertainment. Its no longer real, it is scripted and there are storylines followed.

My wife used to sew costumes for professional wrestlers. It is all scripted and they attend schools to learn how to fall and do their stunts without getting hurt. They may seem silly at times but most of the wrestlers are excellent athletes. Sometimes they do get hurt when one of them loses his temper and decides to wrestle for real.

it's gotten to be more scripted over the years.. it's still entertaintment, but you have to take it with a grain of salt. i think the 1970's wrestling was a lot more real in the sense you saw more real fights break out,and there wasn't all this dramatic storylining going on. i kind of wish they'd go back to that.

Well When I was a kid I never liked wrestling I always hated it because I thought it was to fake I didnt start liking wrestling untill 3 or 4 years ago when I got free smackdown suite tickets it was the first time I ever saw a show never mind attending a show I didnt know who anyone was but when hulk hogan came out as mr america I loved it because he was the only one I knew him and vince and ever since then I started watching wrestling and frankly I still love it to the day I love the storylines to the matches even though they have gotten pretty stupid.

I have always considered the WWE as a sports entertainment soap opera. The story lines capture the interest and you begin to follow it for that reason. I am not saying that anything is wrong with that because that is what hooks people in. Obviously many hours are spent working out the wrestling scenes. The outcomes are known long in advance, but the athleticism is 100% real. My humble opinion. cheers,
