any kind of blood stains in your clothes, from wounds or meats in the market, ^__^;; or anything. When i went to visit my nephew in the hospital i had my period. i was wearing a heavy-duty pad so i was thinking it was okay for a couple of hours. but when we were going home, i felt something behind me so i asked my niece to look if there's something odd behind me. and yeah, there was. i had a few spots of blood stains in my pants! we hurried home and thank goodness it was a dark evening so it wasn't really obvious. ^.^;; it was rare for me to experience that because i am always careful when i have my period. the last time i can remember i had some stains was way back in middle school! ^__^;; and some instances would be blood stains from meat being chopped when i go to the wet market. LOL so have you had any experience going home with blood stains on your clothes??

No i have never ever experienced such a thing. I am a pure veg so no chances of strains from meat etc. And as far as periods are concerned i am just extra caucious and normally put on pad before hand just when i know its possible any time. I might be a waste of money but for me its just fine as i dont need to worry for it.

I was wearing a pad then. but I had a heavy flow and it leaked. ^__^;; I also do some counting to predict when my period is going to come. and 2 days or a day before that I usually wear a pantyliner. ^__^

lol...being 60 years old does have it perks! I haven't experienced this since grade school. I don't think I've had the problem of getting blood from meat in a store on me ever .

Unfortunately, it did happen to me a lot of times already. But one incident I couldn't forget was during my elementary days. It wasn't my first monthly period but I had just a few periods when on that particular day, I was sure I wore a sanitary napkin. At about three in the afternoon, one of my friends, who was also my classmate, told me that I had stains on my skirt. When I checked it in the ladies' room, I was shocked to find out that the stains have gotten big and were obvious enough. I panicked a bit and I asked the help of my cousin who also studied in the same school but she's older by two years than me. I was really embarassed by this situation. And along with this, I noticed that I also had dysmenorrhea when I was still single but now that I'm married, the pain gradually decreased.

hi mykmari! periods are really a hassle most of the times aren't they?? i know its a way of getting rid of blood from our system but it is still a hassle especially if its a heavy flow. anyway, i have heard married people too saying that they don't have dysmenorrhea anymore after they got married and had children.

I had extremely heavy periods when I was younger. Later on, I had fibroid tumors (they're benign). So you might want to talk to your Dr. or make sure you're checked for that on a regular basis. I had to buy maxi-pads with wings. Especially for overnight. Usually if I get a cut, with light-colored clothing, it stains fast. But since we have iron-oxide water, I don't seem to have stains because I only buy dark clothes now. Take care.

hi writersedge. i don't know what is fibroid tumors but they sound scary. i'm guessing that's the reason why you had heavy flows? then i guess i can be at ease because i don't get heavy flows. but i do get stains on my clothes once in a while and they are really hard to remove! i usually use bleaching agent for that.

Fibroid tumors are a little scary, they can make you anemic and they can become so large that they cause problems. Yes, they do tend to make people have heavy flows. Take care, maybe bigger pads for some days would help.

Well, back in my school days (until High School), I used to have this problem A LOT 'coz I bled a lot and back then there were no winged sanitary napkins yet. However, once the sanitary napkins were released, I had less problem with this, esp. now that my blood flow is getting less and less as I age he he he he... Back in Elementary School and Junior High School, I used to make HUGE stains of blood at the back of my uniform. YIKES! I hated that!!!

Hi, secretbear! Oh, no, I mean back in the early days, there were no sanitary napkins with wings...so the blood kept on "spilling" to the sides...back then there were only regular sanitary napkins and they didn't absorb the blood too well. Yeah, my friends and I have talked about this and it seems that as time goes by, the amount of blood lessens (even though the length of days are still the same, but the blood flow gets lighter). When I first had my period, I was bleeding so profusely...that was why I kept on having blood stains on my skirt. Whenever I stood up, the blood was gushing out, can you imagine that?

Blood stains?? Well, I have a little on my clothes. I got it from the little wound that I scratched because it was too itchy. What happened was it was bleeding. I tried to wipe it off with my hand but still more came out. So I wipe it with my own clothe.

it happened on me when i was in middle school. i didn't notice that i had a blood stains on my skirt. too bad, my teacher didn't allow me to go home. instead, he told me to help my fellow cleaners clean the room first before i go home. i could've slap him with my pads w/ matching blood if i have the courage to that that time

really? what an inconsiderate teacher! and he's a guy? no wonder he's inconsiderate. you should have slapped him with your pad. only that would be so gross. maybe an unused clean pad will do. ^__^;;

Periods are sacred moments in a woman's life. We know we are here on mylot because we had moms who had to have periods before they begot us.This makes me respect any woman and every aspect of womanhood like the menstral cycle. That was an accident, but it was a special accident that confirmed your credentials as a woman capapble of being a mother tomorrow. Shrug the embarrassment away and feel esteemed about yourself as a woman. It happens to many, and men also meet embarrassing situations unique to manhood dont they?

hi academic! i don't know if men encounter such embarrassments like we, women, do. i can't think of an example. but in general, of course, men get embarrassed too. have you ever imagine what would happen if men also had periods?

Intresting, i just posted something similar to this. Its of a lady with same problem whom i helped. Its a sorry sight. i think you ladies should be a bit more careful maybe by taking along a scarf and extral pads maybe during this visiting periods.

hi davido! thanks for responding. i am extra careful nowadys. i wouldn't want the same thing to happen to me again. even if it was dark then, i kinda felt embarrassed. maybe to myself and to my niece because i couldn't handle my period well.

I remember having blood stains but mostly at the bottom of my pants and at the side. I was smart enough to wear dark skirts and pants so it did not show. If I had some horrible stains, being the type of person who blocks out memories of bad events, it was so long ago. Anyway at my age, if I had blood stains, I would consider it that my periods have started up again and I would be deliriously happy.

i have also met people, older women, who wants their menstruation back. i guess its really advantageous since we excrete dirty blood out of our system. but the ironic thing is, some young women can't wait for their menstruation to end, and be menopause because they just think it is so messy and a hassle. ^__^;;

i had experienced going home with bloodstains on shirt at the back...and that was around our sportsfest time...anyway, i never really noticed it (i obviously don't have eyes at the back of my head) until my sister pointed it out for me...man my backside was bloody but we couldn't find any wound or something...those bloodstains were really hard to remove and i even doubted if it was blood, but it smelled like it is...we never really discovered what caused it since i did not remember playing with somebody wounded or me being the one wounded...

Yes, I was about to go to university when someone, a guy, told me from my back that I have stain in my pants. I was so ashamed but managed to thank the guy. I dunno what to do. I covered my back with my book until I reached the comfort room. I cleaned the stain before I attended the class.
