When you go somewhere that has things on display do you touch the glass? Like an ice cream store? Well dont do it. I hate it. At my work we have at least a hundred candies on display. First of all its freaking annoying when you push your grubby, nasty, dirty little finger all over my glass. Second, do you really think I know what you mean by "that one."?! Which one?! Just say it! Ugh! Id rather you butcher the name actually trying to say it instead of spitting chocolate and smearing the glass as you pick and choose.

I like to lick the glass, but only after I've seen that a store employee has just given it a nice cleaning. Then, I start at the bottom and give the glass a nice, long, lick.

Wow, you are scary girl! *pulls back fingers* I don't touch the glass if I can help it, but I will point if I'm not sure what something is called. Still, if there's a label, I will try to pronounce the name, even if I slaughter it. I will usually even ask after slaughtering the name how it is properly pronounced, so that I can remember it for next time. The other thing I am likely to do if there are no labels and I don't know what something is called is describe it or the position it is in. Something like "The third one on the last row, with the little stripes on it" or whatever. After all, I do want to keep my fingers. Psycho.

I respect clean glass and don't bother things when I am in a store. I don't feel the need to touch, handle items on sale. I see plenty of people do this and don't understand why someone must feel things but guess there's a valid reason for it.

There are two things in this category that kills me. One the fact that our store is smaller then the bank in the front...I can see everything you do. Its literally like 40 yards if that. So if you pick something up is it really that hard to walk down to the other end of the counter and put it back?! I see you for crying out loud! And then there is this box of candy we have, called the gift of elegance. It is four pounds and the most expensive thing we offer on its on. ($75.) People always pick it up and say lets get this ha ha ha....stop touching it! They never put it back right! and they get nasty chocolate finger prints all over the cello wrap. *smacks forehead*

Need to borrow my axe? I found it annoying as well when I worked retail & had to constantly clean the glass because people hands were always on it. So long as you clean all the blood off real good I won't mind you using it. 2nd hand revenge is fine with me.

I checked with UPS. The shipping cost for a full suit of armor would be an arm & a leg. I'm trying to talk them down to a few dozen fingers which you could pay when you ship it back. As for the axe, its in great shape. Its not razor sharp but that just makes it hurt more.

This is the perfect time for me to finally ask. Why on earth are you in the woods dressed in armor with an axe?

Haha perhaps you ship it to me within the hour? I have work soon and not only am I dreading the stupid people but the fact that most of my coworkers dont do anything. Has it been well kept over the years? I might need your armor too, some of them can be pretty mean.

Check the local regulations regarding boobytrapping. If there are none, just run a 1000 volt current through the glass. When they touch it, it will blast them backward into the wall behind them. They'll get the message and you'll get a laugh every time!

Or I could just do what I always do and say what? which one? Until they actually say the name. Hahaha. Its pretty funny itself. But if all else fails I shall try your booby trap. : )

lol..you sure seem freaked out! Well, I don't touch the glass and don't allow my kids to do so either. I don't like to stain the glass with my fingerprints. My dad was also very particular that we never touched the glass anywhere.

I know what you mean, actually I am like you when I was still working on Mc Donald's!;) The glass panels are assigned to me, I always check it every once in a while for smudges and dirt caused by DIRTY hands!LoL I get mad whenever they see me wiping it clean as they put their hands again to it, then leave laughing as if they are somehow satisfied with their stoopidity!LoL Imagine cleaning all the glass ten feet high, climbing up and down the ladder in just an hour. You don't only get tired, but you also need to finish other things assigned at you by your superiors. It always makes me think of amputating their hands, not just fingers or hit them with the tripod ladder I am using!;)

When I was younger and worked in a donut shop (it was my very first job) it didn't really bother me because I worked the grave yard shift so anything that could help stop me from falling asleep was welcomed lol. The only thing I hated was when people would put their hands on the top and tap their ring against it. I don't know if they did that to get my attention or just to be annoying. ¥øµr Frìëñd¸ Pµrþ|ëTëddýßëâr.

I have never think of that! Whenever I see a glass full of cakes, I would point every cake that I want with my hand sticked on the glass. I just can't helped it. Now that you said about people having a hard time cleaning it, I think I'll start to change.

Hello again:)I never touch the windows or glass or neither does my daughter as she knows the reason why.Finger smudges on a clean surface that has to be wiped alot due to the finger rubbing of customers make it harder on the workers, hehe.I normally say the kind or say the colors in it and the direction.Like i will have the chocolate one with white ice cream in it thats beside the last one on the right hand side.I think thats clear enough for us both to understand, ahahaha. No pun taken:)I like to make peoples lives less hard when they are working and be accurate with what i want and quick and not unlivable for them. I used to not think about the glass touching until one day when I was waiting in line for some deli food and I noticed a deli person cleaning the glass and as soon as they were done a little kid ran up and it was like his whole body was sucked onto the nice clean glass and he made it all dirty with his sticky ice cream hands and then he opened his mouth an put it on the glass it was gross, I swear the person who had just cleaned the glass was going to kill the kid. She gave the parent the dirtiest look and the parent didn't even see her she just said something stupid like "what would you like honey?" as she bent down and nearly stuck her own face on the glass. Ever since then I have never touched the glass and I stop anyone I'm with from doing it too. When I am ordering something from the glass case I try not to say "that one" I specify what I want and which one. -Amberina
