Bala,
I have always being unconventional. off beat and have always followed my heart which, however has put me through several untoward miseries in life. However, I haven't been demoralised and have continued doing what my heart says.
And you know what, being unconventional is 'being bad'. In that way, I am bad personified. So I have the guts, what do ya feel?

Hey! That's interesting and I think you are right. Even when I was a teenager, it's not like I wasn't tempted to do some of the stuff everyone was doing...but I just didn't have the guts because I thought it was bad.
Last night I was talking to my husband about the same thing...the main difference between both our sons. I am sure the older one is like me and will do nothing wrong - not because he doesn't want to but because he's just scared of doing something wrong...while the younger one is a total 'bindaas' fellow and will get into all sorts of scrapes, I'm sure.
Funny you should bring up this post just when we thought of it last night!

lol..next time wait till I respond before you mark a BR! On a serious note, I've also thought of having a chance of marking more than one response as the best. Most of the time, I mark a BR and soon after comes someone who I feel has an equally good if not better response and then I am at a loss as to what to do.

Yes, the one who is good to others is best to himself and the one who is good at heart and is good by nature...cannot turn bad...his consciences becomes such that he does not indulge in bad activities.

I can not agree with you on this one. I try my best to be good to please God. I use to be bad, but I realized that it was getting me no where fast. When I got to the lowest point in my life, I gave my life to Jesus and I have been growing ever since.
I do not want to discuss anything that I use to do and thereby give glory to the devil. Let's us say that people in my life now would be real shocked if they knew the old me.

its not like they donot have the guts but the thing is they can never back ans any one or hurt any one possibly they mite back ans to the people close to them but they cant be devilish to any one else and mite silently listen to what ever any one has to say to them and they wont even bother to react.
i have a few experiences in this case,i cant be devilish to my 1st cousin and to her parents but they whenever they call up or talk to me or my parents they somehow cant just talk like normal human beings but they always keep on complaining to taunting to me or even to my parents being my parents elderly to my cousin still she wont bother and will say what ever she likes , learning from this i am wanting to be like her to give it back to her as thers no point in listening to all the scrap but still i can never do that this doesnt means that i am good but i cant back ans.

well i hardly agree with you.because one can hardly find a person in this generation who is good.the principle which now persists is be good to those who are good to you but be worst to those who are bad to you.without tihs principle nobody can surivive in tihs world.its just only in movies or serials where we can see good people who inspite of all bearing think of doing good again.

I definately agree with you. I always say I can be your best friend ever but really screw with me or my friends and you'll rue the day! I always give people mutliple chances to prove themselves. I understand that people have bad days... but there comes a point where you have to put yourself first and do whats in your own best interest.

Yes maybe... they do good because they do not have the guts to do bad... just like we prefer to be just because we dont have the guts to be unfair... lols what Am I saying? But i think its because our conscience helps us to see what is right or wrong. We are able to be guided of the things that we should and should not do. In that way... we balance ourselves whether we do or not the things we want to do.

Well, to me is easier to be bad than good. We stop being self centered when we do good things for others. We need to have guts to fight for our rights ,but don't necessarily have to be bad.

Being bad and doing anything wrong is the easiest thing to do provided you are not scared of the consequences. On the contrary,it takes great guts to be good moreso,in adverse situations and circumstances.

Hi balasri, I hope you will agree with me that what's good and what's bad is what society decides. Something considered good in one culture might be bad in another. Some people have a lot of fear in them, often brought on by their religious upbringing, fear of going to hell, for example, might stop some people from doing something that they considered bad. Others as you say just mightn't have the guts because they're afraid of getting caught. I really don't think that anyone is good, just as there is no one really bad. Some people are just afraid of getting caught, but does that make them any better? I don't think so. Blessings.
