What type of music do you listen to.

I do not usually listen to music, but yesterday I decided to try Shoutcast, I was rather upset and I needed to take my mind off my troubles. I had had a web site that played the music I loved, but then it started to charge a fee and I could not afford it, so I went all through the Classical music section until I came to one that played Opera. I have been playing it for at least ten hours, although I have not been on the computer all that time. So what type of music do you listen to when you feel a little blue and have to pick yourself up from the doldrums?

We're too busy watching the shows to listen to the music, but there are quite a few good stations. I listen to shoutcast on the computer as I do not have enough money to buy Cds. I will have some next year in March, but I have other things that I have to get first. I do not know what to advise about having no sound on your computer. Have you checked to see if you downloaded the right dlls? Or you might have to call the computer shop.

You might need to call the computer store or the one who set up your computer and get him to look at it. This happened to a friend of a friend of mine and she had to get the man who installed the computer to put in the proper dll. And after that, it was fine.

I am almost 50 years old and I don't like today's music. I only listen to the older songs, soft rock, from the 80's and 90's and country. When I have the radio on, which isn't very often, I listen to country. I have the radio on country, in the car. I listen to the music they play on my Shaw cable, channel 48, the weather channel. They play soft music on that channel. As your from Winnipeg you will know which channel I mean unless you have MTS, not shaw.

All of my music tastes are for the 80s, I love that era for pop music especially, I've even started watching, after finally finding out I can do it via Youtube videos of the 80s. I find that Bryan Ferry and roxy Music really changes my mood if I am feeling down or low, Eurythmics too with Annie Lennox what a talented beautiful lady she is. Music does a lot for my emotions, moods and is great therapy.

I love the 80s music. I made a CD of all my favorites back before you got in trouble for downloading music. But now I guess I will have to buy the Cds.

The only kind of music I have ever listened to is country and western music. I used to like rock but not hard rock. I have always loved Elvis, Buddy Holly, and a few others as well.

My favorite Elvis songs are Suspicious Minds and I Can't Help Falling in Love with You. I saw the Buddy Holly Story and was wondering whether Gary Busey sung the words himself or mouthed them. I know that in "Coalmaster's Daughter' that Sissy Spacek did her own singing.

I also asked my husbands oppinion and he agrees that Gary Busey sounded too much like Buddy Holly, therefore we think he was just mouthing the words.

Good old rock and roll is my choice. Dyer Straits, Styx, Queen, some Yes, I like songs that have some kind of story line to them. Once in a while I'll enjoy an old musical, South Pacific is a favorite, tho Sound of Music is good.

Well my mom was a great musical fan, but me I was a bit more critical. Some musicals were quite good, but others they did quite pull it off. But My Fair Lady with all those fancy costumes, etc. Oh and I also liked Grease and Grease 2. I grew up in that era.

I actually like most musicals. My former roommate hated musicals because she was of the opinion that people don't just break into song. Spoil sport....

When I’m in trouble I listen to music. I’m into alternative songs, before I’m so into R&B but I realized it’s too boring when you keep on hearing those kinds of beat all the time. So I turned to alternative, just lately and I love it. my favorite bands are Nickelback, Green Day, 3 Doors Down, and some more..

I have not listened to much R&B, but I do like the big band sound of the thirties and forties, and I have listened to Green Day, but the best music I like is classical and opera. The only music I do not like is Rap. I feel that they are always angry at somebody or something. I could be a righteous anger, or a bad anger, but it does not sound that pleasant to me.

I grew up on pop music when I was a kid, and that is when they had that sweet music of the 1950s, but we used to go to the Symphony in the Park every Saturday or Sunday and our school used to take our class to the Symphony to listen to an orchestra. Then when we got television, I discovered that many of the Disney classics and some of the other movies had classical music, so that every time I heard Fantasia, I would imagine crocodiles threatening hippos in ballerine costumes.

I love most kinds of music, except most opera, and all hip hop and rap. My mood determines what I listen to, but mostly it's music from the forties, fifties or sixties. I have many different albums, some I've created and some complete downloads, on my hard drive so I've always got something to listen to.

I like to listen to rhythm and blues, alternative rock, ballad, pop and love songs. I prefer a variety of music genres. I am also particular with the lyrics and its meaning. If I can relate to it, probably, I would love it as much.

I like the old rock and roll, ballads, and love songs, and I also love the Big Bands (crazy about TC movies) like Glenn Miller - in fact I have a couple of Cds of his old pieces, plus classical and opera. I started to listen to classical because well our primary school took our class to see symphonies once a week, and I used to watch Disney and one of my favorites was when the hippos started dancing in their tutus, and the crocodiles were after them. They used a lot of classical pieces, so every time I hear that piece, guess what I think about.

I like classical and music where the singer can really sing. I mean I can tell if he or she has taken voice lessons or did a lot of practicing. Quality always shows. I have not heard many Hindi songs, only in movies and in them they are always dancing a lot.

When I feel I'm into the blues, I listen to music with fast beat to perk me up. I listen to hiphop and trance music for that matter. But other times, I listen to other types of music as well.

I like music when the singers can sing, and especially opera, classical, music from the fifties to the 80s. After that, except for a few, I am not that inclined to.

I never heard of minimal, or the others. Is it what they call that electrical and trance type of music that was popular in the nineteen eighty movies? I will have to look that up and find out. Me, I like classical music the best and especially opera, because even though it is usually about violence, madness, lovers, doing wrong, and being betrayed, they sing it so beautifully.

I like the music of the 80s the best besides classical and opera and there are some from the 60s and 70s, especially the band music. I like the Eagles, Santana, and quite a few others. I do like some Heavy Metal, but right now I cannot think of a particular artist or band.

I like when the singer can sing and there has to be a melody. So I do not like rap. To me it sounds like they are shouting and getting mad at the listeners.

Hello dear friend. I am sorry that the website is now charging fees for tuning in music. As to me, I think that I love to listen different kinds of music so long as they are pleasant to hear. When I feel blue, I would love to listen to some blue music and I think that music is really some wonder to us in matching us with different moods at different time. Thanks so much for your discussoin, my dear friend.

I listen to all kinds of music. Cheery and quick or bright and lively stuff changes my mood. Mostly quick dance music or something humorous. I'll never forget the first time I heard Spike Jones (I think that's his name). Anything fun is great for music. I just keep switching stations until I find a fun one. Swing, big band, Country, Rock, and Blues all have some fun stuff. Take care.

I mostly listen to country and 80's rock. I also really like Christmas songs, although, that of course, is seasonal. If I'm listening to music to lift my spirits because I'm feeling a little down, then I will choose either 80's rock songs or country songs that have a good, fast, upbeat to them. Otherwise, if I am listening, just to be listening, I like most any 80's rock, such as Bon Jovi, Areosmith, Def Leppard, Pat Benetar, etc. or country music such as Sugarland, George Strait, Brooks and Dunn, Reba McEntire, John Schneider, Patty Loveless, etc. Just to name a few of each.

I like 80s music, most kinds unless it is boring, which it hardly is. The 80s was a good year. Mind you I love classical the best, but the 80s singers could really sing. And of country, I love George Strait and Randy Travis plus the the ones that were in the eras before like Kenny Rodgers, etc. I also love Christmas songs that ones sung by Bing Crosby, Gene Autry, and my favorite comic ones The Grinch and Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer.
