Leave it to Beaver |
| |
| Did you know the first television series to show a toilet was "Leave it to Beaver" in 1952? This use to be my favorite show back in the '50's. Such a perfect family who were so interesting. I use to have a crush on Wally but so did most of the girls my age. Did you like the program and watch it regularly? | | | | | |

| | I remember that show it was one of my favourite shows too, eddy Hasket, what a legend, and I thought The beaver was rather cute too, it was a good wholesome family show, they don't make shows like that anymore. | | | | | | |

| | hello carolbee i still watch "Leave It To Beaver". i get it sometimes on the TV Land Channel on cable. here in Nashville, it comes on channel 59. do not what channel it would be in your area. and i did not know that "Leave It To Beaver", was the first television series that showed a toilet, my guess for that would have been all in the family. haha archie and his toilet. haha but i guess that my favorite episode of "Leave It To Beaver", was when Beaver wouldn't eat his brussel sprouts. haha what was your favorite episode of the show? have a beautiful afternoon. | | | | | | |

| | I had so many favorite episodes that I can't remember any of them this morning. I've seen Wally on various shows throughout the years but don't know if he was a police officer. Haven't seen any re-runs of the show in years. Thanks for responding and thanks for reading this brainless response.....lol | | | |

| | I remember watching this show too. The family was so perfect that it was truly intriguing - my family seemed a total mess in comparison. Wally was okay - I think I had crushes from other shows on at the time but for the life of me can't think of one... Although I have to admit since I always went for the bad boys when I got to my teens, Eddy was probably the most interesting. I may be in the minority and sticking my neck out here, but here goes...I COULD NOT stand the Beaver, made me gag, was too sickening cute/precocious for words, -- just my (humble)opinion haha... I should do a search to see what these guys on the show are up to now. Thanks for the memory!...Whit | | | | | | |

| | I thought the Beaver was cute but really liked Wally's looks. Our family was also not like the Cleaver's and I was always comparing the two families. Thanks for responding. | | | |

| | I remember watching the reruns of Leave it to Beaver as I wasn't born until 1976. I did think it was a good show. That is an interesting fact about the first show to show a toliet. | | | | | | |

| | Thinking way back in time, I don't recall seeing a toilet on any tv show. Things were so different in the '50's. Like what's so bad about seeing a toilet? lol Thanks for responding. | | | |

| | I didn't know that about the toilet. I am not sure if I watched them when I was little or just watched the reruns but I can remember thinking Wally was very cute. I don't watch it too much any more. | | | | | | |

| | It was such a cute program. I believed that's how "real" families lived and laughed. I was wrong! Thanks for responding. | | | |

| | I wasn't born when the show was on, but I have watched the re runs on t.v and loved it. I love watching older shows, I find them at times better then shows today. | | | | | | |

| | What they need to show, along with repeats, would be the original commercials in black and white. Those were basic but interesting. Thanks for responding. | | | |

| | I remember watching Leave it to Beaver also, but I was born in the 70's and can't recall much of it. I'm not sure how many years it actually aired when I was able to remember seeing it. | | | | | | |

| | All 3 of our kids were born in the '70's and I have no clue if they have ever watched the program. I thought it was interesting that a toilet couldn't be shown on tv. It's a part of life...lol Thanks for responding. | | | |

| | I've seen some episodes but it may have been some rerun shows. I know what you mean about the toilet. I wish that was all we had to worry about seeing on tv these days. There is alot of vulagarity and filth now. I don't like to watch much television anymore because of it, but every now and then I get to see Mamas Family and Andy Griffith show and Alice at Mel's Diner. I really like those. | | | |

| | I did not know that! What crazy trivia! I used to love that show! I know it was a bit before my time, but my brother and I used to watch that every day along with the Beverly Hillbillies and some other shows. We didn't have cable and they ended up being some of our favorite shows! | | | | | | |

| | Yep, that's some odd trivia. There were so many good shows on during the '50's that were family oriented and fun to watch even in black and white. Thanks for responding. | | | |

| | I loved that show. LOL we are showing our age. I also had a crush on Wally. He was so cute. I went to Universal Studio in Ca. They showed us where they taped that show. Also the Munsters. Remember them? 1313 Monkingbird Lane. Loved all those old shows. | | | | | | |

| | Hey watch it, I had a crush on Wally even though he was too old for me. I also was in love with 'Little Joe' from Bananza who later moved on to another of my favorites, Little House on the Prarie :) Michael Landon... Ozzie & Harriet - I was in love with Ricky Nelson and even though I was married (as was he) when I heard the news report he had died I cried. | | | | | | |

| | So many of the girls were in love with Wally. What a doll. Today he looks so different and has lost some of that gorgeous hair. Michael Landon was an overall hunk and Ricky Nelson a sexpot. You have good taste. By the way, Wally wasn't too old for me....lol (smiling). Thanks for responding. | | | |

| | LOL I'm jealous of course according to my mother all 3 were too old for me but guess what - overall hunk will be on in 50 minutes here and I will be watching 2 hours of Little House :) my nearly every day routine :) | | | |
