Hmm, I doubt it, not at this point. I'd be worried about the translation software. Most of the auto-translation programs I've seen tend to butcher (ahhhhh! pig's don't like the word "butcher"!) the translation, and that could change the intended meaning of someone's response.

Currently myLot is English-only. If and when we support additional languages, we will launch a myLot sister-site in that language. I wouldn't foresee this in the near future, however.

However, if border-line discussions take a turn for the worse, then that discussion is more-likely to show up on our moderation radar and be subject to moderation itself.

I don't feel you answered Polly1's question.
If I am not misreading her pose, she asked why there was such a decrease in the earnings.
I have also been a member almost as long and I too have noticed a significant decrease, I thought I had emailed admin about this matter but I can't seem to find the email, but that is irrelevant.
In your origanal discussion you did say that you would answer each question. Susan

WTG Susan, you can jump in anytime. Crash said that we can make comments within other responses. You said it so good, Crash didn't actually answer my question. I used to have no trouble making payout of $10 each month, now it takes me 4 to 5 months to do it. I can be here for a long time and if I get 10 to 20 cents I am doing good. I am not really complaining, I love Mylot and would still be here if they didn't pay us. I have a 10 rating so I have a good reputation. I write sentences, not one word responses. It will be interesting to see who gets the $20 for best response. Thanks for your input.

My feeling is that if they were comments like the last 2 here were...then they don't add nothing to the discussion and should be avoided...they should be treated like one worders and be deleted...but Crash will explain this better than me

Yeah, I wouldn't get too chatty in the public discussions. What about the private messages? You can get as chatty as you want in there. That's your best bet for now.

We've tossed around the idea of a chat room like you suggest. There are no immediate plans to implement one, however. Right now we're concentrating on some other yet-to-be-announced upgrades...

I hope you don't mind my butting in here...while yes, maybe members can get more chatty in PMs rather than in discussions, but as we know, our PMs aren't exactly completely private from what I understand and are read by the administration and moderators....so many MyLotters might be afraid to say anything of a real personal nature. I happen to have the private email addresses of many of my friends here so discussing things privately isn't an issue...I'm just thinking in terms of those who might wish to have privacy in their PM who don't necessarily want to exchange private email addresses.

well an my dear friend Nova stated that about a chat room. I have actually started a discussion stated calling all talkers and typers and was hoping to get enough of a response to send it to mylot as a petition for the chat rooms. .. I have actually outlined what the chat rooms would be like and monitored in this discussion. Please stop by and view it the out lline is on the second page of the discussion and I think you will see that I have thought it out a lot.

Nova, goodies, pye, skinny, bella... I absolutely love reading your discussions; you are hilarious and I can completely understand the request as I have seen the same discussions criticizing some of you, but I believe the main reason that myLot would NOT want to introduce chatrooms would be that they would worry that discussion postings would decline. If people were busy talking and laughing in the chatrooms, that's less time they would be posting discussions and since that is their ultimate goal, they would not want to hinder that.

Now, if they could find a way to pay people for being entertaining, then you guys would be set and wouldn't need a separate chatroom, but unfortunately, not everyone's idea of entertaining is the same. In my opinion, you all would become multi-millionaires quickly!:)

Great idea, Nova! I'd actually thought of this myself. Why doesn't myLot have a chat application? It's hard not to get to know people here while discussing such a variety of subjects. There are many other "social network" websites out there that have their own "chat" applications users can enjoy. That way, myLot users will be able to talk in "real time." What an exciting addition that would be. Private messages just don't have the advantages of a chat session because responses to messages aren't sent and received as quickly. I know it's quite a step for the myLot administrators to make, but I think it would be well worth the time.:) Great post, Nova!

My thoughts too,but zukepr beat me to it lol. I would also like an answer to this, especially since it seems she has been suspended on the word of a member who has been repeatedly banned and kept signing up under different names.

Yes Crash...I would LOVE to see the answer to that one....SNDCAIN was a top ranking member here for over 18 months and is suspended over what we feel is tattle tailing....

As a former admin & in the last days of another site, I quite understand the reasoning for not publicly talking about individual members, as it is indeed a privacy issue. However, this is a case of the wrong person being punished.

In essence, a crime was committed by one individual against the other. The authorities got involved, & instead of punishing the criminal, they chose to punish the victim instead.

I did see the discussion it had happened in, but it got cleaned up, & I forgot what discussion it happened in. It was clear on who the perpetrator was, & who was the victim. I hope that SNDCAIN gets compensated in some way for this injustice.
