I would love to experience living off the land, and living in the times of Robin Hood, and his merry men, you know they robbed from the rich and gave to the poor. Robin Hood and his men lived in Sherwood Forest in England under the tyranny of King John who imposed heavy taxes on his people, kind of like how it goes now, instead of WMD it was bow and arrows and hot tar thrown down on it's people!
So would you like to live off the land? Food you had to catch and prepare yourself? Sit round camp fires, drink home made hooch and wine from the land.
Dance around the campfire and live in the forest?
Would you have liked that taste of life? Making your home in the trees and living in a big friendly community
No technology, no mobiles, no computers, no electricity, everything would be cooked over an open fire made with sticks
How long do you reckon you could live as one of Robin Hoods Merry Men?A Day, a week, a month, a year, life?
What do you reckon, escape the stress of real life and live off the land?
Any good with a bow and arrow?

I love being outdoors so it would be great for me. I think catching my own food would take a bit of getting used to but I could live on veggies although I once killed a herb garden because I'm so terrible with plants! The only real problem I would have with living in the trees would be there would be no toilet or running water. I'm quite fussy about that sort of thing but they are the only commodities I couldn't live without. If I could have those, I'd live like that for as long as I like provided I didn't die of hyperthermia of course!

I don't think they'd heard of global warming then so they wouldn't have had particularly severe weather. I suppose if they killed animals for food, they would have used the inedible bits to make undergarments. Apparently, some animal fur is very warm!
I like your body heat idea though.

Speaking as one who lives very near to Sherwood Forest and the major oak, yes I would love to be one of your merry men and live off the land.
I would miss my computer the most and most of all would miss all of my epals from all over the world but I am good at skinning rabbits and plucking pheasant. Not so good at fishing but you cannot have it all. One of my neibours goes shooting so we often have some sort of game to prepare for the freezer or oven.
I also know about wild plants which are good to eat or not, my mum taught me when I was a child back in the 50's and we often go hunter gathering around here

Ah.. the good life! Yes, I was definitely born in the wrong age! ...the bible says "my people will live in the forest.." .."each one under their vine and fig(/fruit) tree" - "the lion will eat straw like the ox, the bear will be seen grazing with the cow.." - Also, living off the land would be a very good skill, either for ones'self or to pass on to their children or grandchildren, and would especially help in the "ten days" of apocalypse (or 666 if you've heard of that particular genocide prophesied in the bible).
