What do you do when you can slept? It is 4:00am in the Morning. I am worried about a few things, and when I worry about things this is what happens, I haven't been able to sleep in 2 days. I know that is not good, what do you sujest? usually I get on the Computer like I am doing right now. Sometimes I watch a little T.V. I usually go straight to Mylot, it is good to write you feeling down. Do you do this?

I have a plastic jar full of lavender flowers. I just unscrew the cap and put the open jar by my pillow. It works a treat. If you don't have lavender flowers but have some essential oil of lavender, then put a few drops on your pillow. You'll be asleep in no time. Brightest Blessings my friend.

Up until recently, I never had problems with sleeping. Now it's often 3 or 4 in the morning and sleep is often still elusive. Sometimes I'll leave the tv on real quiet so that I can't think, talk shows are good for that, they kind of bore you off to dreamland hahaha. I have a timer on my tv, so I set it about an hour later for it to shut off. Don't you just hate it when you can't sleep?! It totally ruins the next day, and next thing you know you need a nap (and then you take that much needed nap and it fouls up that nights sleep too hahaha.) Sometimes I go on the computer too and play online jigsaw puzzles till I'm tired. If I did something that required too much brain power, it'd only keep me more awake.

If I can't sleep (which is common for me without my meds) I would usually watch tv or read...I stay away from the computer though because that would just keep me awake...Sometimes a hot shower works or a cup of tea etc...

I work when I can't sleep. I work with Mylot or the other sites that 'I am joined with. I work about 15 hours per day anyway. I only get about four hours of sleep each day after cooking, eating, and unwinding before I go to bed. I also have laundry and housecleaning to do also. I hope you get more sleep Marcie. I am so used to working all of the time. I cannot get out of the mode and cannot afford to anyway right now.

Yeah i think it is natural that you cant sleep when you are stressed out. I have a bath and relax with a cup of tea. then i just go to sleep. I like sleep, when i go to bed i always feel tired.

when i cnt sleep i turn all lights off and turn the tv on to like a movie or something it usually works for me. the idea of coming to my lot and writing is a real goood way to distract your mind from all those unhappy thoughts

I have this problem a lot. I usually take my ipod to bed with me. Hubby is usually asleep when his head hits the pillow. But I don't like going to bed so early as I am a night owl. The ipod does not disturb him at all. I don't listen to rock at that hour though. I usually listen to some nice Celtic music and that allows me to drift off, well after 2 or 3 albums worth of music!!

I am up until at the very earliest 2 am every single night. Usually it is 3 am or later before I fall asleep. I suffer from terrible night anxiety. The doctor has prescribed Xanax and that is supposed to help me sleep but it doesn't. The sleeping medicines like Ambien are like eating a tic-tac for me; worthless. I usually get on the computer for awhile. Sometimes I write in my journal. Last night I played a little XBox 360 before heading over here to mylot. My husband is about ready to haul me back to the doctor's I think because I am not sleeping.

Have you tried folding the washing? I know everytime I start folding mine, I suddenly feel very sleepy! The other thing I do is get my cross stitch out. 1/2 hour of concerntrated work really tires me out. Hope you are not still having sleep issues.

I read and read until I get really sleepy and then sleep late in the morning I also have insomnia plus allergy that makes mynose stuff up and that does not help to get to sleep either. I often sneak on to mylot for an extra hour but that does not help me to sleep.

Well, when I can't sleep and I know that I should, I lie there until I do fall asleep. Sometimes, I will end up lying there for like an hour or two, before I get so bored with lying there, that I actually fall asleep! It's been taking me quite a long time to fall asleep lately, and it's driving me nuts. I think it's because all I do is worry about bills and stuff.
