Do you watch a movie on its first day in the theaters?

maybe they didn't like the movie that's why they easily got bored. thanks for the response.

hi jill! i know what you mean. it gets tiring to go into crowds and deal with people. but i love watching movies and its a lot different in big screens.

i see. i don't know why it feels different to watch a movie on its first day. maybe because of the excitement and the thought that i would be among the first ones who have seen it in the big screen.

i don't really watch a movie on its first day too but there are movies that made me impatient and made me watch it on its first day.^__^;; just like this one.

hi gr8life! i didn't cry after all. because i was having a great time during my pre-birthday celebration! i originally didn't plan to watch it on the first day, April 18, and i didn't plan to go out with friends that night too. i was only planning to go home. but for some reasons i got so indecisive. and then i realized, i won't be having visitors on my birthday proper so might as well go out while my friends are there. so i did. that took my mind off from Jet Li.^__^;; i watched it last Monday.

i do prefer to watch some movies too at home. especially drama and love story themed movies.

hi kun! we can get get tickets too before the first day of a movie but i wasn't used on doing that. so have you already watched this movie? i've watched it last monday. i'm still not able to start a discussion about it because i'm sure i've seen one already.

oh its a nice and exciting movie alright. jet and jackie's fight scene was awesome! but what messed up the movie was really the American. as the silent monk said "He's not even Chinese!". he was really the off thing. if it weren't for Jet and Jackie, everything would be a failure! i'm not satisfied actually.>. <

The american monk is supposed to learn kungfu from jet li rite?? hehe^_^ i'll be watching the movie in a few hours time, and i'll be back tonight to tell u how i find the movie.. hehe

the American is not a monk. he was the "traveler". the magic staff of the Monkey King took him to ancient China. and yeah, Jet Li and Jackie Chan were his masters and taught him kung fu.

i see.. Up till now, i have not watched the movie!!! My fren keep pushing it off.. I think by time i wanna catch it, they would have stopped screening it:(

hi kun! you should hurry up! if your friend keeps installing you, then find another friend who can watch with you! i think the movie is starting to wane in the theaters. i hate it because i still want to see it! but there's another new movie that i want to watch and its my first priority now. i guess i'll just wait for the Forbidden Kingdom dvd to watch it again.

I wanted to watch it yesterday, and we tot it's mid week, plus the movie is 1 week old, so there should not be too many ple watching.. But we were wrong, we reach at 530, wanting to watch the 730 show, but.... The tickets are all sold out!!
I think i really dun have the luck with this show:( Even his last english movie, Rogue assasin, i also din get to watch:(

wow. really? the tickets were sold out?? wow. great job for Jet and Jackie! the movie is still in the theaters here and its reaching its first month. i wonder if it would last for another week.

I tried to watch it again yesterday, but most of the timing was in the morning or early afternoon where i just woke up.. haha.. And so i missed it again:( Looks like i have to watch on DVD instead..
Yup, it was a complete sold out for almost all the screening.. Even when i was 3 hrs earlier each time i wanna buy the tickets.. LOL

you wouldn't enjoy much the special effects and the fighting scenes when you watch it on dvd kun. unless you have a super large screen tv or if you use a projector when you watch it.

its okay jumpinjack. i didn't make it on the first day. i was busy having fun with my unplanned pre-birthday celebration. i was only able to watch the movie last Monday. have you watched it yet?

Hey I understand. I would miss it also to have
fun during my birthday. No I haven't yet. I was
on a business trip and mostly in a hotel room
over the weekend. Waaaaaaa. I will soon I hope.

Was it as awesome as it looks. I saw Jet on a
talk show over the weekend. He said Jackie would
tell jokes all the time and if someone didn't laugh
he threatened to fire you. Then he would laugh also.

He's so funny.

the action scenes were awesome! i was not satisfied with the story so i can't really say that the movie itself was awesome. but, Jet and Jackie were as awesome as always! i love their fight scene! the drunken immortal and the silent monk didn't want to be defeated by each other. superb. i just wish Jackie had a much better enemy than the white-haired witch. and i wish the Monkey King and the Jade Warlord had a longer fight scene.

Jackie is always like that. its too bad that they didn't show the takes at the end of the movie like they always do in Jackie Chan movies.

Oh wow that all sounds sooooo cool. I'm surprised
there are no outtakes at the end. Maybe when the
movie comes out on DVD.

I haven't seen it yet, boo hoo, because I'm so
busy between two professions either forget or
fall asleep before going. I also don't like to
go alone and no one has been around to go with.
Again boo hoo. LOL

Never, I'm usually disappointed by movies nowadays.

i love going to the movies too! i love seeing everything in the big screen. i actually prefer watching action movies in the big screen. but i admit that before i wasn't a movie goer because we live far from city! its only a few years ago that i've been going to the theaters more frequent that before. thanks for the response roberten.
