Are There Female Angels In The Bible???

I'm sure there are all kinds of angels in the Bible. i have never read the whole Bible so I could not tell you for sure. I think there are all kinds of angels among us though. I really don't think they have a specific gender either.

hm very and I dont know why but I always think of angels as female but we have to have male ones to for both genders go to heaven

this is how mine reads:

And I said: What is it? And he said: This is a vessel going forth. And he said: This is their eye in all the earth. And behold a talent of lead was carried, and behold a woman sitting in the midst of the vessel. And he said: This is wickedness. And he cast her into the midst of the vessel, and cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof. And I lifted up my eyes and looked: and behold there came out two women, and wind was in their wings, and they had wings like the wings of a kite: and they lifted up the vessel between the earth and the heaven. And I said to the angel that spoke in me: Whither do these carry the vessel?

I really do not know what to make of it. I do not know if the two are figures of angels of God or not. then consider the verse that follows

And he said to me: That a house may be built for it in the land of Sennaar, and that it may be established, and set there upon its own basis.

"The land of Sennaar"... Where Babel or Babylon was built, Gen. 11., where note, that Babylon in holy writ is often taken for the city of the devil: that is, for the whole congregation of the wicked: as Jerusalem is taken for the city and people of God.

I am not sure, i have this little knowledge about this. I think the angels have no gender. They will be called in any names like if you used names of a woman or a man but they have no gender . Maybe Zechariah seen female angel because it is reflected as female so it is, but i think they have no gender.

Well the angel that appeared to Mary must have been male because the account of the encounter mentions that the angel "came in unto Mary". Sounds to me like the winged one was carrying God's sperm.

ithink angels dont have their gender but are generally depicted as being lovely beings to behold,so the prophet could assume them to be women,also the bible talks of the church as women so i can say that in this particular verse the prohet is talking about the church.thanks.

I don't believe angels are male or female even though the angels do have male names, I don't think it means they are actually male..

There are not many angels mentioned by name in the Bible.
There are Michael and Gabriel, and then there is Lucifer, who rebelled against God and became Satan. In Revelation there is an angel of the bottomless pit metioned whose name is Abaddon(Hebrew name) or Apollyon(Greek name) which means destrution. We know from the scriptures that there are legions of angels, but besides those four I don't know any of their names. I think angels are pictured in art works as females because we think of them as nurturing and protective beings. Angels are our helpers and can appear in whatever form would be most helpful at the time, is my thought on the matter.

quite an interesting discussion. I did not know of any female angels in the bible, only men came to mind but this is great stuff to know that women are represented somewhere.

There is no female angels that can be found in the bible, old and new testament. The bible says all angels are been created males by God.
