Which is your favorite PIXAR Movie?? |
|
Lemme tell you first that I'm a big fan of Pixar, and compared to their movies all other animation movies are crap.. Of course except shrek.. So basically, I love all pixar movies without exceptions..
My favorite of all, is The Incredibles.. That's because I love action movies and pixar movies and therefore, Pixar + Action= Super-Duper combination.. The characterization.. The complex plot.. Everything is just amazing.
Others I like are monsters inc. and toy story.. So how about you??
Don't tell me that you hate Pixar movies... Because I won't believe it!!

Luciuzzz (28) | 2 years ago | I love Finding Nemo and Cars. the story is so touching, taught the audiences about tru love from a father to his son (Finding Nemo), and I love Cars because it's just great from all aspects. the story, animation, music etc. Pixar is the best in animation. Pixar's short movies are also great! they always present their short features in their movies..

33. winterose (17621) | 2 years ago | I don't know what a pixar movie is, I liked the movie ants. Does that qualify as a pixar movie.

|
benthose (167) | 2 years ago | Your answer really surprised me..
PIXAR is an animation company, now owned by Disney which is known for its really great and entertaining movies and shorts.. So far it has won 8 oscars..
So basically Pixar movies are those made and released by pixar.. You can google or search in wikipedia for more information.. They, according to me and many, make the best animation movies..
Some of them are: Toy Story 1 and 2, A Bug's Life, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Ratatouille. I think Antz was made by Dreamworks

35. JJ4Ever (700) | 2 years ago | I love Pixar movies, so that's going to be a tough decision. (I really like 'Incredibles' and 'Shrek' also even though I haven't seen the third of the trilogy yet.) I really liked 'A Bug's Life," but I'm having a hard time remembering all of the Pixar movies at the moment. If you don't mind, (which I'm sure you won't since it sounds like you enjoy them so much!) could you please refresh my memory as to some of those wonderful Pixar movies? Can you name all of them? (LOL) You probably can! I like the Toy Story movies also. That's all I can think of...I'm so disappointed with myself! It's been a while since I watched one of those cute movies with my younger sisters. I have some homework to do! (LOL) Looking forward to hearing from you, and then I'll make my decision which movie is my favorite! Hope you don't mind!!
| |
| |
|
|
benthose (167) | 2 years ago | Hehe.. Yes I can name all of them, and I already did them previously in this discussion, and have no problems doing it again!!
Here you go: Toy Story 1 and 2, A Bug's Life, Monster's Inc., Finding Nemo, The Indredibles, Cars, Ratatouille.. So which one do you pick??
These are the movies, if you are interested, which are up next: Wall-E, Up, Toy Story 3, newt, The Bear and The Bow, Cars 2..

JJ4Ever (700) | 2 years ago | My apologies! I didn't see that portion of the discussion where you listed the movies. I must've had a blonde moment or something. (LOL) How kind of you to list them twice! Ok, as soon as I saw the movie, I knew it was "the one," as in, my all-time favorite Pixar movie that I could watch over, and over, and over, and over, and over again! (Are you in suspense?) Ha, ha. Ok, my favorite Pixar movie is 'Monsters, Inc.' without a doubt. Wow, they did such an amazing job with that movie. I can't believe I forgot that one! The little gal is so cute. I don't know how they can make an animated character so irresistable! I agree with you that no other animation even compares with Pixar. It's a wonderful trademark. I'm so glad you mentioned the upcoming new releases. I'm a grown adult (LOL) and still excited about these! (Of course, I can still use my younger siblings as an excuse since I don't have children of my own yet.) Thanks for sharing. I really like this discussion.

benthose (167) | 2 years ago | Yeah Monster inc.... I especially love the way Boo mumbles things that can't be understood at all!! So childishly nice.. PIXAR is da best at expressing the expressions!!
| |
|
|
JJ4Ever (700) | 2 years ago | I love that how you said Pixar is good at "expressing the expressions," and I agree completely. You don't have to worry about young children watching a Pixar movie either. It's good, clean fun and hilariousness (if that's even a word) that can't possibly be found elsewhere. I love it! Another question for you, though...(you seem very knowledgeable about this subject, so I just can't resist asking!) Is 'The Ant Bully' by Pixar also by any chance? If it's not, I'm so sorry to have made the mistake in thinking it was. I saw it last summer at the IMAX theater with 3-D glasses on. The images were jumping out to grab me! It was amazing. I'd watch any movie like that. (LOL) Thanks again for your input. This sure is fun!
| |
|
|
benthose (167) | 2 years ago | Thanks a lot showering the praises on me!!
And Ant Bully isn't from pixar.. As you seem interested in 3D, lemme tell you this: All the pixar's future movies that I have mentioned except wall-e will be in 3D!! And guess what?? They will be re-releasing Toy Story 1 and 2 in 3D as well..
If you are as well interested in PIXAR, then go the article "Pixar Films" in Wikipedia.. Its my favorite website..
I also recommend you to watch Pixar's short movies, they too are as good as the features..
| |
|
|
JJ4Ever (700) | 2 years ago | Yes! I totally agree with you that the short animated Pixar clips are cute as well. I like the bird and chess ones that are shown at the beginning of a couple of the Pixar movies. Those are priceless. Wow, there are so many great movies out there! Thanks for clearing me up on 'The Ant Bully.' I'm so excited about the 3-D movies! What will they think of next? You really did your research on this topic! That's what I love to see. If I could give you a 'Best Discussion of the Day," (rather than Best Response) you'd definitely get the award today! Thanks also for the excellent resources. I'll having to start some Pixar research of my own! If I happen to see any of the new movies coming out soon, I'll have to revisit this discussion (unless you decide to start a new one!) so we can discuss what we thought of them...and it's not like we'll be disappointed at all, I'm sure! Take care, my friend.

|
benthose (167) | 2 years ago | Yeah.. That's my habit... If I realise that I am beginning to like something a lot, then I do a lot of research on it.. My favorite bands, companies, everything!! And most of my research is from Wikipedia..
My favorite short, is the chess one.. Its called "Geri's Game." "For The Birds" is OK, but more kiddish.. But it is good, as its from PIXAR!!
| |
|
|
JJ4Ever (700) | 2 years ago | That's a really good habit to get into, researching things you're interested in. I've done that here and there. And yes, Wikipedia is an excellent resources. Ok, so now I have to disagree with you. (LOL) I like the bird short animated movie more, but the chess one is too cool! It makes it look like there are two different guys when there's only one. They do it all simply by facial expression and the fact that the man removes his glasses when he plays on a certain side of the board. That's very funny because I remember more about the chess clip than I do about the bird one! (LOL) So...maybe the chess one is my favorite. I'm just going to have to watch them both again now! Do you think the new Pixar films will have more of these animated short clips on them? I think they will. I can't wait to see what they come up with next!

37. suspenseful (17054) | 2 years ago | I have seen the Incredibles and it was quite funny, but I did not watch all of it. I am not that into cartoons, although I did watch Who Shot Roger Rabbit, but that was more a semi=cartoon movie. However I am not a Pixer fan, I seem to lump all cartoon movie together although I did watch Toy Story, but I am more for real people acting.

39. oneandonemakesix (24038) | 2 years ago | Hey Benthouse,
I have to say right now that I think I love 2 movies that Pixar I love is CARS, and Monsters INC, oh and Rattatouille.
I think that each of their movies is made wit such love and great animation, that they all seem to work together, you don't better animation than that.
While a lot of it is done via computer instead of by hand it still is amazing now.
