store brands vs. name brands

We are more or less the same here. I do go for store brands rather than name brands. It is cheaper that way.

We are on a very tight budget in our house. When I shop unless a name brand item is on sale cheaper than store brand we always buy store brand. I don't really mind it that mucgh and it saves us a little money.

I buy things by price so most of the time we buy store brand. There is the occasional item that we have found that we hated from certain stores and we dont by them there. We dont buy our meat anywhere but Costco beacue I have had to many surprises in the ground beef else where.

i usually buy store brands because a lot of the time, the store brand is made by the same company that make the name brand, but in the case of mac and cheese, well i have to agree with you but i guess it is because of the taste and its the taste that we are used to!

Generic or store brands work for us unless name brands happen to be on sale and have a really good coupon. Often times, I can get name brand for just pennies which surprises the cashiers to no end. lol

I buy both. There are some things that we eat that have to be name brand but not all things. It seems as though most of the time, you can buy the store brand and get the same taste as the name brand. Cereal is one of the things that I buy both of. There are some that I will eat the store brand in but others have to be name brand!!

I nearly always buy store brands, except for a very few name brands. I buy name brand spices for the most part because they seem stronger and fresher than off brands.
