Who Stole it?

Attatched is a shot of my front deck. very pale and faded. I plan on refinishing it with a stain/water preservant soon. the problem is that to do this I need 72 hours of temps at least 50 degrees and dry weather for the stain to set in and dry properly. well I don't think we have had even opne day yet of 50 degrees or warmer at night this spring. Only a couple days above normal tempseratures for highs as well this Spring. It has been way too chilly here in Minnesota this spring. I am getting cabin fever and it's May my gawwd. This is getting really sad up here in the northen end of the world. Whomever stole the heat please return it to Minnesota please? Are you having normal temperatures for your are this spring? Or are you also sick of the coldness?

It was me AGB I am so sorry but we stole your good weather here in Scotland! It has been hitting at least 19 and usually over 20 degrees since Saturday here and this is very unusual for us at this time of the year - specially 5 days in a row and likely to last a full 7! By the way that temp is over 70 in your way of doing it and most unseasonable for the time of year here! Do you know what else honey - I am NOT going to send it back, uh-uh , no way, I am keeping it here as long as I can! So there!

..it's been a bit chilly here in wisconsin too.. but we've had some really gorgeous days just recently so that's fading from my mind.. Til it comes back! But hope it doesn't! We're having a fishing and camping weekend this weekend.. so I've got my fingers crossed.. maybe I better cross 'em for minnesota too!

I don;t mind the weather, I hate the cold of Canada and the heat of Canada, I like a nice spring day or early fall day the best anyway. Don't worry be patient the warmer weather will come and stay.

Come on. You're a Minnesotan. 40 degrees or warmer in May with the slightest sunshine is shorts weather. I am wearing mine today.

Maybe I shouldn't tell you then it reached 80 degrees here yesterday. lol Down in the high 60's again today but it's raining so to be expected. Hope you get your ideal weather soon for your deck.

Ok we have had some really nice weather here, upper 70's but not for long, with this storm coming in, our lows tomorrow night will be in the upper 40's..Maybe you can have the heat we are losing..

Who ever took the heat is using it to globally warm some other part of the world. It is not here in Kansas, either. I can remember that some years we have had ripe cherries on at least one tree by the second week in May. Right now there are little green nubs, and that is it. So when they return the heat to Minnesota, they need to sprinkle a little bit across Kansas. If it gets here first I promise I will bring some when I travel up there in three weeks.

I don't know if we stole the heat but I would gladly send it to you if I could. It's about 82 degrees here which isn't too bad but I prefer the cooler weather. I'm sure before too long it'll be in the 90's and I will really be complaining.

i'd been wondering that myself.the temperatures are nowhere near what they should be,every day has had that chilly edge to it.i hope this isn't going to be another "cold summer" year.i haven't even put my tomatoes in yet because i worry it's going to frost again.

Tomatoes in Minnesota hardly ever get planted outside till late May or early June. But most other things could have been planted by now like cukes beans etc. We are still getting 30's at nighttime here. ugghh!!

I sit out back at the patio table with the wife at 7 a.m. having coffee and enjoying the early morning warmth. Our patio out back faces east so we get the bright warm sunrise heat. Once the sun rises higher in the sky it gets cooler.

It's rather sad to hear this change of weather which is the cry of the world as a whole. in fact, if you've read one of my post, i asked whether it's spring or we're back in winter? it's the change of climate and if so what a weather will we be experiencing in years to come due to this climatic change? i think it's only God that can intervene. soon be hot, wait grandpa, BOB.

Yeah it has been a wierd Spring/Winter to say the least. But it is par for course for Minnesota every few years to be this way. Another week or three and it'll be nice enought to finish my deck and plant my veggies.

We have had some sunshine and a little warmth. But like today the heat is decent but we have the high winds and they are chilly. I want my deck refinished and this bites.

i must have stolen it - we've had a lot of warm weather in southern colorado all spring - i've had 3 sunburns, because since i'm solar powered, i haven't the sense to get into the shade.
...and no, you can't have it back - i'm keeping it
...maybe if you came down here, and tried to take it - i'd split it with you :)

If it never got any hotter or humid than it is right now where I am I'd be VERY happy...For the past few days we've had mid-70s weather, and still not humid yet...nothing worse than those lovely NYC area humid days in the summer. Our nights have been nice and cool, I haven't even bothered putting on the fans yet..uh, no air conditioning in my place--so like I said I love this weather..now if it would only stay this way!

Hi GRANDPA BOB! It is summer here on the other side of the globe and it is very hot during the day. And we are sick of the heat here. If you want, we can trade for a few days but you have to tell us on how to go about trading some heat in exchange of some cold temperature. haha..Just my thoughts. Take care and have a nice day!
