Do you have magnets on your refrigerators?
Refrigerator magnets come in different colors and designs. However, the most common ones are those that are related to kitchen work and food. Examples of these are cooking pans, kitchen utensils, vegetables and fruits. There are also kitchen magnets that are shaped like wine bottles with labels that closely resemble famous wine brands. Common materials used for kitchen magnets are plastic and metal. These materials are more durable. as they do not easily break. However, some modern kitchen materials also use ceramics.
Because the refrigerator is one of the most exposed appliances in the home, the idea of posting notes on the said appliance has become very popular. This is especially true for families that do not often get to meet each other throughout the day. I know of some people who use these magnets for posting family mementos such as pictures and artwork on the refrigerator.
We do have some here at home. Most of them are souvenirs from travels.

I have several, but one is really special, as it was once owned by Tiny Tim (the 1960's ukelele player.) I just recently received a bunch of stuff from his personal estate. It has a scripture verse on it. :o)
The other magnets are cool, too, though. One is a note pad, so I can write messages down, etc. And one is from when I had kidney stone surgery; they placed a magnetic sign on my door that reads, "NPO," which means "nothing by mouth." The others are just odd little magnets that I thought were interesting enough to go on my fridge w/o looky tacky.

Well, not that I know of, but possibly. His dad was Lebanese; his mother, Polish Jew. I have Polish Jew in my family, from back in the day. The last names are Staff, and Irvinsky. His mom's maiden name was Tillie Staff. His dad's last name was Khaury. Plus, I do possess some of his fetures and mannerisms.
Anyway, you can check my MySpace page here: http://www.myspace.com/i_heart_tinytim and see pictures of *some* of the stuff I got from his estate. (You may have to log in to view my pics.) I have many other things from his estate, but they are not pictured because they are either fan letters, or just won't show up.
However, I did not come about owning his personal estate because I could *possibly* be related; I came about it through Ernie Clark, who runs the official Tiny Tim Memorial site. (I own a non-official Tiny Tim Tribute site.) Anyway, Tiny's widow, Miss Sue, had saved his stuff for sentimental reasons, and one day, decided it was time to move on, and left all of Tiny's stuff in Mr. Clark's care to do with as he wishes, because she felt "The Lord wanted (her) to." Sooo... There you have it. :o)

i love magnets for the refrigerators. i have bugs and small frogs and snails. i used to have all kinds of sea creatures but that was when my children are still young. and because they paly with those magnets one by one they disappeared. maybe they all went back to the sea. lol. now that they are all teens they enjoy looking at those magnets too. i also have magnets that are picture frames and the latest is an ice cream on a cone. yummy lol. i also have magnets for christmas so i only put it every christmas. i dont post anything on the ref, these are just for decoration. we have a cork board so we post the papers there and not on the ref

I have a bunch of magnets on my fridge. I have ones that have clips attached to them. Frame magnets that hold photos. I have souvenir magnets from places we have visited. I also have free ones from the bank, pizza place...
My friend gave me a big one last year that says, I (heart) Me.
The front of my refridgerator is covered. Most of my magnets are holding up photographs of my children and family; or they are holding up artwork that my kids have done.

I use to have my fridge covered with pictures and magnets. Now the front of my fridge is completely empty. on the side thats exposed has my dry erase board for notes, and such, and ABC letters for my 2 year old. I think not having so much stuff on the fridge makes the kitchen look cleaner.

I do have some refrigerator magnets.. surely every american home needs them
.. I don't have a vast array, but may have soon if they keep multiplying.. Each and every one is holding up a picture of family members or friends or the child of a family member or friend.. or an important note or even a joke or news item.. Of course things there seem to blend in lots, so if it's an important note it has to be in bold and large, preferably, marker print.. either that or posted on the numero uno top of the list, bulletin board, the bathroom mirror!

I have a lot of magnets on my fridge. A few are the free ones from the doctor and the vet and things like that. My kids have a bunch of letter and number magnets all over the fridge too. We also have some that were my grandma's. An iron, a tea kettle, a toaster, a skillet, a few hummingbirds, a rolling pin.....Just to name a few.

We have quite a few. Our daughter has an ABC magnet set. She uses it to pin up her current artwork from Pre-school. Our fridge looks like a mini art gallery. We also have some that people have made out of photos. It is really neat.

i do have quite a few actually but i do not display them on the front of my fridge because it looks too cluttered and they fall off everytime someone slams the doors shut. i put them on the side of the fridge though. many of them were little gifts from my niece and nephew when they were little so they hold sentimental value for me and that is why i keep them. they are grown now but the magnets remind me of when they were small and brought a little gift for aunty.

Right now, in my apartment... i do not have any colorful magnets on my fridge... but i taped pictures and recipes there... it would always slip my mind to buy those cute magnet... but in my mother's home... the fridge is full of them... and the latest additions are the pictures of my niece and nephew living abroad... my sister had them magnetized... which i think is a brillian idea...

Over the years I have had many a fridge magnet.Mad from all sorts of things. I have mostly had metal plastic, or those ones where the picturer is on one side the magnet on the other. I use to post all my neices and nephews pics on the fridge, plus cute pics of other kids I knew. Now I seem to have the kind with the little inspirational saying on them, and I still post a few pics of the kids as well on my fridge. But over the years I have not such a need for them, so not nearly as manyb as when the kids were young. I also used them for notes and specail things my kids created at school.

Our fridge has become my wifes magnet heaven. Everytime we visit some place she has to buy a magnet. So basically our fridge is a covered billboard for all kinds of tourist places. It drives me nuts, and my son is always grabbing or knocking them down!
