oh, yes, I have gotten so many ideas for crafts from craft fairs and etsy. I haven't done them all, but some have been quite fun to do.

Yes, absolutely! I've come across so many beautiful items on Etsy.com and said, I'd like to do something similar to that.
I always wanted to use my sea glass to make jewelry, and after seeing all the great jewelry creations, I came up with many ideas on how to use my beach glass instead of glass beads.
After being on Etsy for nearly a year, I'm still amazed by some of the creations I see on the site!

All the time. I have to restrain myself and be realistic. I only have so much time and so much space for different crafts. Plus, most wind up in the "to be finished someday" stack. But, such things are a good source of ideas for what sells.

I see things and wish I could do them. Sometimes I try looking for a pattern but too often I just admire the other person's talent.

Yes, I do this all the time go to craft fairs & see what the 'HOT' seller's are, then I 'disect' the project & figure out how to make it myself. I've learned to do quite a number of things this way.. It's fun...Lori

Yes..and also at craft stores like Michaels...that's when a camera phone comes in handy so you can keep a record of the idea that you wanted to do yourself!

I go through that a lot! I am so glad that I have a camera phone because I can get pictures of the items that inspire me. I recently saw a darling dachshund statue that I would have loved to have. It was a resin statue of a dachshund with paint bloches and a artist's hat and pallet. I want it so badly but couldn't justify the price. When I finish this semester in college I am planning to try sculpting my own. I always get ideas from everywhere. I even picked up a jacket from the thrift store yesterday because it gave me an idea. I started doing the "hey I can do that" when I was a little kid and would go home after seeing something and make it myself. It's so great having that talent given to me... If I can see a picture of something or touch it I can make it.
