OH I'm glad that its sorted out for you gabs...Feelign stress over a misunderstanding or arguement etc etc with a friend can be so damn draining ya know..

I've misunderstood and been misunderstood at various times in life but I always manage to get it sorted out more often than not ya know....

Yes we need to deal with Mooch's issue and get that taken care of..

Wow, that IS quite remarkable. Not many people would openly admit something like that right in a discussion. I was relieved you were going to still post discussions, but I must admit if my talks with Gissi were going to suffer, there was going to be some problems.

Is Mooch the only one who wasn't going to post? I thought there were a couple more people. But then I've been mixed up before. It's kind of my life story...

i am glad this problem was sorted out. I think mooch will understand this situation because I know she have a wide understanding being a mother.

this happened to me always whenever i or my friend misunderstood what we sent each other mostly text messages. Being friends for so lang, we tend to solve it right away!

Firstly I would like to say I am pleased to hear this issue has been resolved. It was lovely for them to have explained publicly too eh!

I think we have all done that at times. For me it is misinterprting text messages as they never come accross quite the same as real speach over the phone so in these instances I tend to phone and get an explanation of what was meant and it is usally me having read it wrong. I can't stand all the abbreviations and predictive text can be a nightmare if the wrong word comes up and its not spotted.

Yes, and also have misunderstood and been misunderstood by family members. It hurts to be at odds with people that you really like, and you think they like you, too.

Hiya Gabs, I am really glad that you have sorted it all out, I have hated thinking of you so upset just lately. It is really good that your friend came to you and openly put your mind at rest and I am really happy for you!

What is happening with Mooch is also really upsetting, but I hope that if all her friends on here show her how much she is cared for then she will gain strength from that and just realize that we are all on her side.

Thank you Gabs and yes I have often misunderstood and taken something personally when it was just a general remarks. Unfortunately my hot temper and short fuse has gotten me into more trouble than I care to remember. I have tried to take time out before I do or say something irreparable. For those of you who are not afflicted with this character trait believe me it it a hard thing to overcome. The only thing I can say in my defense, when I speak before I think, is that I am not a coward I will face up to and apologise if I have been in the wrong but only if I am wrong....oops perhaps should not have said that.

Our language is funny isn't it, because this site goes all around the world what could be said innocently could be totally misconstrued, either because of the language barrier or from someone reading between the lines, I do that a lot and I do get paranoid and I have been upset by a few comments that have been left and I think wow, what did I do to deserve that, when in actual fact the person may have had an off day or had replied lightheartedly and I have taken it the wrong way. A friend actually did that some months ago and I was quite hurt about it, I never know how to respond to it, whether I should confront the person or ignore them, but I am a sensitive old fool and I will take things to heart, I guess a bit like you sweetie and I wonder what have I done to deserve a comment which may come over innocent but to me is like a barb. I know I should toughen up but when you've been an old softie for over three and a half decades it's not easy to change! I am glad you got things sorted it can eat away at you for ages can't it and I hate to admit it but one of my major failings is that yes I do bear a grudge, bad wolf, bad wolf!
