I don't believe that there is any "sin" to doing anything in this world . As I believe "there is nothing right or wrong in this world by a fix definition ".
Thanks !!!

I have knowingly committed a lot of sins, but not because I think they are outdated in today's world. I committed them, because I have moments of weakness, selfishness, etc. Actually, rather than trying to obey a long list of do's and don'ts, I try to live by the two great commandments of loving God and loving others. I try to ask myself if a thought or behavior is loving. If it isn't, or if it causes hurt or dissention, then I think it is a sin. Sin is essentially a state of separation--so whatever causes separation from God and others is sin.
By the way, I really like your discussions.

I've been a sinner.
I've been a saint.
Done both good and evil deeds.
Oh, but in the end, I was good to my friends
and that's good enough for me.

Very nice question.I am not a Christian , but I have been educated in a convent run by nuns, and all my advanced education was also in Holy Cross College. So, I shall pick on one aspect that I violate--at least I can say that I can do it because in this world there are a handful of people who follow this doctrine--Do you know which principle I am talking about?-[I doubt if this falls into the category of "sin" however.]Just put it down to a principle --
This is the statement of showing another cheek to your opponent when you are slapped on one one cheek.
I have had enough slaps like this and fifty years of that Christian upbringing was the cause of my putting up with it.
I would deliberately violate it and see that , first of all my cheek is not available to the opponent. If someone slaps [figuratively] I would no longer tolerate it and give them back.I would not be the one to provoke it however.

Hi woo,
Sin is sin. This world changes. Society changes. But God never changes. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
We need to look at things thru God's viewpoint, not the world's. Lots of people will try and use the excuse "everyone is doing it". Well, not everyone is doing it and God still hates sin.
We all need Jesus Christ to be cleansed from our sins. I am a sinner saved by the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
It only takes one sin to keep you out of heaven, but that is not really the issue because we have all sinned more times that one could possibly count and the only cure for sin is Jesus Christ.
God bless and have a great day!

Have I sinned? Yes, I have. I sin everyday because I am only human. But I ask forgiveness and He grants me that.
I don't willingly sin...meaning that I don't say, "I know this is wrong, but I'm gonna do it anyway." I sometimes say and think things I shouldn't. I tend to be a shopaholic because I love to buy clothes when I could be giving money for needy people, etc. Sometimes I tend to be selfish without realizing it at the time.
I ask God everyday to help me realize any sins that I have committed so that I can repent of them.
I hope that answers your question better!

I love discussions where I can read between the lines. Your awesome Molly.
To answer your question I'm sure I do things that some would call a sin. Luckily I am not subject to those rules. Groveling for forgivness for living my life is not exactly my idea of religion.
I preffer a path that I can celebrate the beauty and diversiting in all human kind, and respecting life for both its good and bad.

I am no longer a commited Christian but even when I was I commited sins all of the time. It is impossible to live life and not sin, which is why you are supposed to pray for forgiveness for the sins you must commit. I think that the basic principles behind most of the Commandments are good, but it is just to rigid for anyone to really stick to 100%.

I have commeited many sins, but not because they r outdated or old fashioned, nor that they tie me up. Well had to mention that. But because, i was weak and i did indulge in some wrong deeds, and my deeds have a outcome that really i would expect. I did sin a lot, and now i chpse to be a better person. Now, the commandments are sure old, but not old fashioned1 they r abided by law too. And i try my best to forgive others and love even my enemy...well im still trying in about the last one...

I am sorry but I think that there is no outdated thing when it comes to sin. Sin is sin, in whatever place, circumstances and time it was committed. The Lord never changes, He is the same yesterdy, today and forever. And so does His word. The commandments in the Bible are intact and will never change forever and ever. Hence, to say that a sin is already outdated is just like adding or taking away parts written in the Bible which deserves punishment as specifically stated in Revelation 22: 18-19.
