Do you notice how cold it is in here when you are eating and dining?

I have went to many restaurants and it was so cold in there, where I could not enjoy my meal, like I wanted to. It was so cold in there, I was shivering.. Have you witnessed being in the cold restaurant while eating?

Especially in an ice cream shop, oh wait, its supposed to be cold in there. I'm usually hot and I order tons to drink, I think they like it that way.

They do this on purpose. My husband works in fast food and they will keep the place a little too cold so people wont want to hang out for too long. Sounds kinda mean but its worse when they have to kick you out lol.

It's usually too warm for me but my mom takes a sweater with her. I hate being too hot when I'm eating but being too cold is just as bad!

I have and I hate that too! Eating does tend to warm me up sometimes but, when it is too cold, no amount of eating will warm me up. The only thing that would warm me up in an environment that cold would be for me to jog in place while trying not to stab myself with the fork I am trying to eat from! LOL! One suggestion would be, if you are at another restaurant where it is too cold, ask your waiter or waitress to see if they can adjust the temperature. If you are cold, you are likely not the only one. It can't hurt to ask! You might be helping other patrons of the restaurant by your request!

oh yes, and i hate it when that happens. So I usually bring a sweater with me otherwise I cannot be comfortable. This happens alot in the summer, where I have on shorts, etc and I enter a restaurant and it is so cold that I am shivering.

Yes, I have been in restaurants like that. I figure it's just me though, because I am cold a lot. Another factor may be the staff setting the temperature. If they are running around it may feel warmer to them than to us just sitting casually. If I don't have a heavy shirt on I usually end up putting my jacket on and eating in a hurry to get out of there.

Yes, I can understand that they are warm, being that they are back there cooking and moving around. I try to bring a jacket inside myself..

I have noticed this trend a lot and it drives me crazy lol. I can see why they might have the air on in the kitchen with all the hot ovens and such, but it sure takes the pleasure out of dining for me...I'd rather stay home than have to put up with that. Last time I went in the summer I took along a sweater and a ladies suit jacket and I was still cold. I don't mind it if I'm just going to go in and pick up a to-go order, but gee, to sit there for an hour for a meal, no way! I don't understand why they think it must be so cold, it's ridiculous to assume that it would be comfortable at that low temperature for all of their customers.

I have been to restaurants where I felt cold initially. However, having tucking in, I do feel warm or even hot. A hot soup often does the trick if the restaurant is too cold for comfort. More often, I would think the temperature in restaurants here is a bit warm to start with.

Hi cream97! Whenever that happens to us, we always ask to be transferred to another table or have the air conditioning be turned lower. Or if that wouldn't be possible, I don't think i can enjoy my meal either. Take Care and God Bless!

most of the time, i experienced that situation in hotels. instead of getting comfort while having my stay there, i usually shiver because of the temperature their aircon creates. i think sometimes, establishments like this should also think about the comfort of their clients to give them what they needed.

Yes I have and I'm the type to say something. I look around to see if others look cold and if they do I speak up. Unless it's my time of the month because then I know it's probably just me.

Yes I have, and it doesn't seem to matter which restaurants you may be in. While in the hot of summer it does feel good, there are times in the spring and fall that it is quite cool.
