40th anniversary of the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy at Los Angeles, CA.
I was six years old, but I had a late birthday, so I don't think I was in first grade yet. I vaguely remember the tv (yes, black and white on) and my mom watching the coverage of his funeral.
So I honestly, don't remember much from that day.

I was in school, one week to go of 7th grade - they announced it to our class. It was a real shock, even at our age, because we had been old enough to know when President Kennedy was assassinated it was a bad thing. Martin Luther King had just been assassinated two months earlier and now Bobby Kennedy, just as we were approaching an age where we could take notice of political events. That combined with the escalating Vietnam War and the ending of the Civil Rights era as well as the influence of the Hippie/Peace/Flower Child ideals of the time made a huge dent in the way many of us thought. It was also put us on sharp notice that our "age of innocence was over".

I wasn't born yet, 40 years ago. That was about 4 years before I was born. I have seen alot about the Kennedy assassination on television programs though. I have two older sisters that may remember the assassination though. My mom would remember it also if I was to ask her about it. My dad passed away when I was 12 or I would ask him about it also.

Well I'm English and 40 years ago I was 4 years old.
So I don't remember anything about that day.
I suppose I was playing either in my bedroom or outside with a friend. I wouldn't have been at school as I was too young and playgroups, nursery or anything for pre school children hadn't been invented.
I did learn about it at school when I got older and have seen film clippings on the telly on his other anniveraries etc
