 Because I like flowers and other plants,I do planting even in a small pot. But, I do like to plant vegetables and other plant that we can really eat.

I have some African violets that have somehow managed to survive in my house for 17 years and I have a flower box on the front deck railing that's doing pretty well right now. I put it there to keep the cat from clawing the window screen when she wants to come in and now my husband wants me to put some on the back deck.

I also like gardening. You may feel great when you see the flowers on the plants you have planted. Good to see that you like planting vegetables and flowering plants. You will also became stress free after spending a while in your garden by watching flowers, weeding out, watering the plants etc. | |

I'm constantly rearranging beds, arrangements, and creating new planting areas. I'm not really good at container gardening, but I admire those who can create little works of art on small scales.

| 7. biggerb (1147) | 3 months ago | I love planting.I spend the whole day in the garden.Its a hobby which I really enjoy.Its a very relaxing and satisfying pastime.I have about 200 potted plants.I have planted the rare varieties of tuberous begonias,the hybrid petunias,hybrid balsam,about 15 varieties of fuschias,varieties of geraniums,Gloxinias,variegated Ivy's etc.then I have beds of annuals and perennials.I love the Hawwain varieties of Hibiscus.I have planted some 25 varieties.The flowers are huge and the colours are splendid.I have made my fence with hibiscus plants.I have flowers throughout the year.I have beds of different colour salvias,red,white and pink.There is a huge collection of lillies.I also have a small patch of vegetable garden which takes care of our needs.there is a whole lot of herbs,chilly,tomato,peas beans,cabbage,brocholi and greens.i just cant keep fruit trees as i have monkeys invading my garden.My vegatable patch is fully fenced to keep them off.I wish I could have fruit trees too.Enjoy your gardening. | |
