Oh my gawd! I can just hear it in my head! I found a great site with 80s song titles...there were so many! Your choice is pushing everything else outta my head...and now I'm thinking of 867-5309 by Tommy Tutone (I think that's who did it!)--my best friend's name is Jenny and of course that was her ring tone for a while!

It was a song from the musical broadway "hair" all of which is the ultimate annoying music. I think andy williams and probably a bunch of others did it as well. Another title for it goes "good morning starshine, the earth says hello." If you haven't heard it, you have lucky ears.

The beer song I've seen before on a "funwall" post on facebook. It is definitely giggle-worthy.

As for the Bobby McFerrin tune... that one drives me bonkers. It was "overplayed" when it first came out (just like "Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves). Some friends I knew changed the words up a bit... "You wear a big bandage around your head. You have a spot that looks kinda red. But don't worry... eat curry".

I'm so disappointed the one that just made me ROLL was a song about a son getting cause masterbating. His father walked in on him. I've been trying and I can't find it again. GGRR That's the one that I really wanted you to hear too. FYI: I just love the beer song, its a great thing at a party!

How 'bout Fred Schneider (think B52's) on his own first (and maybe only?) album, extremely rare, and no... no one can have it, I listen to it 5 times a year or more, haha.

"It's Time To Kiss" what a number, just crank Fred up LOUD and the goosebumps take care of themselves. "Cut The Concrete" is another.

- altho, sorry, now that I know what you meant by Cheesy, CG, these likely don't apply either. Just good goosebump material that a few previous posts that mentioned the likes of Van Morrison, Roy Orbison's Pretty Woman (i like Van Halen's version too) and the like. Fred's a character...I never knew that he released a solo career, even if for an instant! But then look at where he's from--the same music scent that spawned REM! When was his album released..before or after Yoko's? Now she's a BAD ... I wouldn't even call her a singer!

That's SUCH a campy video! I wonder when he actually wrote the song--you know if it wasn't for Love Shack's HUGE success it would have never had a movie made! I love when they're wearing the giant naked butts right before the lizard/dragon does. I think when Fred's Monster (first green then white with red (but what on earth is sticking out of the top? I can only imagine!). Now THAT is definitely a cheesy song...I'll keep looking to see if there's any others from that album! Thanks for sharing it!

My man wrote a song titled (aptly enough) Coconuts...I think one of the lines goes like this: "She has lovely coconuts, she takes them everywhere" (or something, I haven't heard the song for years!) and I was one of the few people he's told the lyrics to that actually understood what it meant!

I have a particular fondness for redheads, and at one time I had three girlfriends with red hair (No jealousy, Open relationships)...
