Ok so bush made a bill for everyone qualifying to get checks to stimulate the economy, which is hurting really bad.
So do you think it will work? How much did you get and are you satisfied.
The last question I asked is because I only got 300 dollars from it. Apparently mothers get 300 plus 300 for each child they have... instead of the normal 600 any single person without a child would get, not to mention married couples get 1200... but basically get 600 each. The reason I got 300 is because I didn't ahve my son for 6 months... I had him for one...(I don't really think that is justified) I should be happy with what I get at least.
Oh and also what have you used it on or what will you use it on when you get it?

This won't stimulate the economy by anything too significant. You aren't the only one directing this stimulus to needs, which really doesn't stimulate the economy. There wasn't a real plan in this or any of the other proposals. The lawmakers and government officials are not only detached from the citizenry, they seem detached from reality and sense itself.

The reason you only got $300 is because most likely you also didn't pay very much in taxes due to amount of income you make that you pay tax on... My husband and myself would have gotton $1,200 for being a married couple, however the majority of my husband's income was non taxable (military pay) so we only got $600.
If you only had your son for 1 month than the right to collect that $300 for child is to the person who had him for over half a year because only one person can claim the child on their taxes., unless that person made too much to qualify for that $300 stimulation.
As for our stimulation check It went completely to bills. We couldn't afford anything extra with the way the economy is today.

I really don't know if it's going to work. But I did get my check and I got $600. I was pretty satisfied because I was able to pay off some credit card debts and I gave some to my mother to buy my little sister some clothes. So I was pretty I got $300 for myself and then I got $300 because I provided for my sister during the 2007 year.

No, I don't believe the stimulus checks will help at all because everything has already gone up too much and too many people will use them to pay bills. The amount people will get has been misrepresented so many people will be in for a not so nice surprise if they haven't already been surprised. I am married and was supposed to get $1200 but I got a little over $500. Why? It has something to do with my tax return and subtracting line something from line something else. My son-in-law also got a smaller than expected check. The entire thing has been a scam as far as I am concerned.

Everyone that I know that is single without children have only gotten $300. We got $1800 which all went to bills so I don't think that we really stimulated anything but the wallets of our doctors, power company, and the bank that holds our mortage. lol I personally think that single people with children and familes under a certain yearly income should have gotten more because they need it more than some family making a lot of money. I wasn't very happy with the amount. I could have used more to pay on some different bills we have.
