I didnt see my mother for more than 2 years

I can see that you love your mother very much. It is very difficult when we have to make a choice between members of our families. I too hope that things in Iraq will settle down soon so that all those that had to leave can go back soon if they want too. I pray that she will be kept safe during all the turmoil going on there.

I think I understand your feeling.I havn't be seen my family for a long time.I miss them very much,my parents,my sisters,my brothers...I hope them can be happy.

I can relate. I haven't seen my mom for 18 years but I'm used to right know. She's been working in US and planning to go home next year and I hope so she can made it this time.

hi, iraq must be safe now as alot of people are going back there.. well most parts are except for baghdad more than likely. what part are you from? i know alot of people who have come to this country and miss there parents very much but one day they will be able to be reunited with there family, good luck to you

good day... I haven't gone that long away from my mom but I'm leaving for Singapore next month and that's the first time I'll be away from her. Honestly, I'll miss her because she's all I have and I still don't know how to cope when that time comes. I don't want to go but you know the saying in search for greener pastures. I'll miss her but I'll find ways to connect with her like chatting with video cam and talk to her as frequently as I can.

hi, alkurishy, full understand your feeling. i think everyone must miss his/her mom after he/she leaves from her mom. try to call her when you have time. and do your best to make conditions so that you can pick her up one day. actually, mom also wants to stay with their children, right?

alkurishy I have never been in your situation so I can only sympathize with you. I spent as much time with my mom as I could and was lucky to be close to her most of the time. allI can say is to pray and talk to her on the phone, as you must thinkof
your wife and kids first. some day soon I hope you can be reunited with your mom, and that our us soldiers can come home to their moms and the war will be over. So many people have been hurt in this and it just seems to go on and on. I will pray for you and yours and your mom and hope soon you can be reunited.

It's really awful and hard not to be able to see someone you love so much; but try to remember that even if you can't be together in person, you're always with her, and she with you, in your hearts.

Try to keep in mind, too, how your mother wants you and your family safe. That's probably the most important thing in the world to her. I'm a mother of grown sons, and I know how talking to them on the phone can make all the difference in the world.

I know your post is three weeks old, but I found it very sad and wanted to try to offer something to maybe help just a little. I'm so sorry for what you're all going through.

That is sad news. It is not so emotionally healthy to be separated from the mother for so long a period.
But it seems nothing can be done. try to get back as quickly as possible.
Also, it is not only te mother, but also the mother country that matters. Not only you had to leave your mother, but also Iraq, your mother country and thus the pain is doubled.
